For those of you who haven't heard, the English duo
Evil Nine, comprised of Tom Beaufoy and Pat Pardy, have created a new record label called For Lovers. This is a depature from
Marine Parade Records under which the two released their previous work. And it's because of this new label that the two have graciously provided us all with access to their single "Ultimo" in high quality. I'm here to spread the track as well as provide you all with the Evil Nine beats that you should already have. I'm not the most adamant supporter of Evil Nine and while I was looking through what songs I wanted to put up, I realized I should be. These two have produced and created some of my most favorite songs over the past few years and if you haven't heard "They Live!" as a Electro anthem, then I don't know where you've been hiding.
So here's Ultimo, a nice summer jam with some dark house vibes, and the
Dem Slackers remix of the one and the same (
SUPER DIRTY). Both are outstanding and have their place. "They Live!" is a must have and you might as well grab the masterfully done Felix Cartal remix. The Arveene & Misk remix of "
No Manners" is ill and removes most of the lyrics to create a straight banger. The Alex Metric
track is a nice house remix that you should definitely pick up. Finally, check out
the collaboration they did with Aesop Rock, one of my favorite Hip-Hop artists. It was that song that first got me into Evil Nine.
