Ninetynine + Dga Fau Records Present: Free 99i Summer Promo Pack

Q.G. (Quentin Gauthier) put a Soundcloud comment on 99i's new remix for his awesome new song Razor. The comment (see below), read: "Dude FUCK YOU. Are you really from Canada?" It made me laugh really hard at 4am cause it's so fucking true. How does someone from the East Coast of Canada produce such amazing and interesting House music with that full on French Touch sound. I guess having friends like Q.G. and The Phantoms Revenge doesn't hurt. All I know that when the sun is out in the summer the is nothing I would rather listen to than some super chopped up House. This Summer Promo Pack definitely offers a fresh new flavor of that very established sound that was once exclusively French.

If you haven't yet purchased Q.G. new track Razor yet, then you better be so broke that your turning tricks to make ends meet. I'm serious, this track is awesome and more than that every up and coming or underground producer that I love is taking a crack at remixing this masterpiece for the Dga Fau Remix Contest. This means I probably listen to some version of this track on soundcloud five times a day.

Ninetynine - Revenge EP. FREE, FREE, FREE!

So blog favorite Ninetynine just dropped a new EP titled "Revenge" on his label Close To Modern and is giving it away to you for absolutely no charge. Therefore, I can say with certainty that this is the best free EP ever. The EP includes three brand spanking new tracks from 99i including the fantastic "Pier 12" and remixes from TCHNCRCY favorite Vakkuum and talented newcomer Hero. Digithype Records All Stars Vol . 1

Digithype Records is an independent label from Marseille, France with a lot of potential. They have recruited names that keep gaining momentum and whose tracks keep appearing in our blog. Check out the tracks below and you will see what I mean. The Ninetynine track is dope; The Noisy Freaks song starts of like a Tiesto track (terrible I know), BUT half-way through destroys the repetitiveness and drops you into an unpredictable beat, the title makes it very clear what the intention of the track is; and finally the Eworks track brings to mind the new Ed Banger sound. The rest of the tracks are also sick so sit back and enjoy the sounds.

Ninetynine is a Canadian producer originally from Calgary but now based in Vancouver. He makes music that he describes as Nightmare House/Electro and I agree, he produces dark, heavy and scary breed of electro/house. But don't take it from me, his tracks have been supported, remixed and played out in sets by some of the founders and champions of heavy and scary electro/house like The Proxy, Q.G., Les Petits Pilous, and Mashed Paper Klub. Dominic Pierce is another talented Canadian originally from Calgary and based in Van. & Calgary. Dominic lists his major influences as Cassius, Daft Punk and Basement Jaxx which you can definitely feel through his music. He produces a unique, original and awesome mixture of House and French Touch with a whole lot more. With much support coming from talented French Touchers like The Phantoms Revenge, Dominic clearly got skills. Close To Modern Bonus: Dominic Pierce and Ninetynine also co-run a label project called Close To Modern. So far it is just the two of them on the label as well as their collaborative project NNPP. Keep an eye out of Close To Modern, Dominic, 99 and NNPP in the near future, I expect big things.
