New Ep by The "S" - Yuk It Up

Tell me you aren't feeling it. Summer closing out and all the producers that have been hidden away in their dark rooms finding that new sound that's going to crush it when the cold winter months hit are about to bust out on to the scene. So I'm here to bring you the first of many great tracks. The S, long friends of TCHNCRCY, just dropped one of the best EP's I've heard in a long time. Welcome to Yuk It Up. I've been waiting to hear some original stuff after their remix of "Prelude" caught my heavy hitters list and landed on repeat. And I'm not trying to mess with you. This new EP is absolute fire. I want to give you a specific time to really listen for in the songs but if you aren't hooked in the first 30 seconds you might as well pack your bags and go home. Personally I love "I Feel You" as my favorite but "Yuk It Up" is more than listenable. It's downright  amazing. This is why I'm bringing it to you. The songs hit hard without being pretentious and can definitely get a floor moving. I honestly didn't even look up whether the boys had put up anything after I got the EP because it's just that god damn good. However, as luck would have it they have a preview up for free on soundcloud, just because they're awesome like that. If you don't love the S already, listen. If you do, go buy the EP. Oh and by the way, our friendly killers at Mahtrasher Recorcds are putting out the EP. Never forget who brought you the best. Thank you Andrew. Winter's coming to the States, and this is the music to warm up to.

TCHNCRCY Ten Tracks

It's been a bit since I've been able to pull this together but here we go with another ten tracks up for you to grab. Given how big soundcloud previews have gotten and the lack of downloaded singles that are available, I'm sorry if these songs are old news to you. If they aren't, then get excited. These are the top ten tracks that have been on repeat for me. Check 'em out.

Jewel Kid - Break My Heart (Computer Club Remix) (320 kbps)*****
- This track is huge and is probably one of the best dance-electro songs I've heard in a while. The drop at 1:30 is essential.

Cyberpunkers - Fuck The System (You Killing Me Remix) (320 kbps)
-Evil and hard.

Willow Smith - Whip My Hair (Crizzly Remix) (320 kbps)
-A ridiculous song turned into a dub stomper. Good job Crizzly.

Trolley Snatcha - Blind Faith (Trolley Snatcha Remix) (320 kbps)
-English Dub at it's finest.

Night Kids - Off With His Head! (192 kbps)*****
-This song crushes and is chock full just really cool sounds. Definitely don't miss this.

Amadou & Mariam - Sabali (Vitalic Remix) (320 kbps)*****
-This song may be old, but it's too goddamn good to miss. If you don't have it, get it. If you do, listen to it again. It's really fucking good.

Udachi - Stumble feat. Short Stories (Vocal Mix) (320 kbps)*****
-One of my favorite songs of the past months. The vocal chops that come in at 1:27 are flawless and something I haven't been able to get out of my head.

Nadisko - Prelude (The "S" Remix) (128 kbps)
-TCHNCRCY favorites The "S" put it down again.

Britney Spears - Till The World Ends (Bloody Beetroots Extended Remix) (128 kbps)***
-New track from Sir Bob. Good stuff in the stylo of Fucked From Above 1985.

Rusko - Everyday (Netsky Remix) (128 kbps)
-Massive remix by Belgium's Netsky. If you don't mind D'n'B drums, the bassline is epic in the way Flux Pavillion and Doctor P put it down. Check it out.

More Things I Like From Italy: Kill Beat Records

***Monica Anna Maria Belucci, she is Italian so she counts too...no matter her age***

I almost can't believe the amount of talent coming out of Italy. There are so many well-made powerful tracks coming out of the peninsula it is at times a bit hard to keep up with them. But don't worry we do our homework so that you can get the much needed heads-up to be able to enjoy the tracks that make your weekends feel like weekends all year round. It is definitely time that we introduce you to Kill Beat Records (formerly Killatunes Records), and in case you were wondering, yes they are an Italian label with a line-up of artists with a thing for producing hard bangers. The talent in this label is already recognized and supported by our favorites Mustard Pimp, The Oddword, Cyberpunkers and many others. Check out the label's releases below and the talented artists that are a part of it:

NAIZEN

A duo from Milan.... can someone explain me how this keeps happening? Really, if someone knows the secret please share it. Naizen's sound brings to mind Mustard Pimp and Belzebass, so if you can enjoy their fast pace and hard basslines (with a bit of a different taste for vocal samples in Naizen's case) go ahead and check the tracks below. First you will find the minimix for their latest EP Criminal Minds (Kill Beat Records... don't ignore the Beatport link on the player) and some older huge tracks including a very sick Rage Against The Machine remix:

The "S"-EPIC (Naizen's The "S" Fckr Remix)
Rage Against The Machine- Killing In The Name Of (Naizen 2k10 Edit)******Best RATM remix since SebastiAn's.

El Puerco

So one little piggy went to the market, some other piggies went about cooking a meal or some shit like that, but THIS little piggy said "Fuck you guys, I am gonna make sick music instead!" Do not be fooled by the apparent low number of hits on his myspace, El Puerco has an arsenal of releases on different labels that will make your speakers beg for mercy. His tracks are getting more and more attention on the web and have even made it to Mustard Pimp's Burn Paris Burn! Mixtape. Besides a sample of his Rudeboy EP released on the once called KillaTunes label, I am sharing some newer tracks that deserve a well-earned spot on your library.

Tezuma & Kint

It is hard to believe that these guys have had their first official release so recently (out August 11th). This brand new duo has some dark sounding shit, and finding a copy of their debut EP on our inbox was just terrific. Their sound has many qualities that show the peninsular origin of the tracks and puts them on the same level with their more experienced fellow Italian producers, but based on their sound I would guess (and this is only that, a guess, and I mean no disrespect by it) that one of them must be Russian. And I say this because of the presence of heavy, dark, distorted bassline sounds they infuse their tracks with, sounds that makes one think of Proxy and the school of sound he created in Russia with the likes of Marseille and other Mako Records artists. You will definitely notice this when you listen to Darkup, a track that blew me away and that has convinced me to put great hope on the future of these guys. Check out and purchase Kill Beat's latest release R.M.E (Ruin My Existence) by Tezuma & Kint.

***********(HUGE, if you are going to download anything from this post it should be this track)
Tezuma & Kint-R.M.E. (Original Mix)****(we are asked to only share one track, I think the original is a good one to take home)

We'll keep you posted on more releases from this label.

Agitare il tuo Culo/ Shake Your Ass Records Part. 2

It seems that I can't check Shake Your Ass Records' line-up without finding something new and extremely impressive. SYAR's taste for music is consolidated and very, very, very agreeable with our own here at TCHNCRCY Music. This time we won't overload you with too many different acts to follow, but we will definitely show you something that will make you want to punch a nun in the face (that should mean it is good music right?).

Did you watch the video?? no? OK, do it! and do it loudly. That is just a sneak peak into what his Killer King EP will sound like, sorry no news on when it is actually coming out, but it sounded so sick I couldn't resist (saying it sounds like Kavinsky's angry brother gets only half the idea behind the sound of this preview). Last time I was so pumped by a teaser was when Huoratron put out his Corporate Occult teaser...and that is saying something. Check this Italian fellow out, and follow us or his myspace for more news on this killer EP.

This kid is from France and I had heard from him a while back, but recently saw his name in SYAR's page so i knew I had to finally put this guy up here... it has been long enough. Sure the name is interesting, but FUCK does he deliver where it counts. Very hard, fast and dirty. He has actually worked before with different labels (Erase records and others), but recently collaborated with SYAR through a remix of the well known track Broken Symphony by Belzebass and the 'S'.

Asian Trash Boy-Wanc (Original Mix)********Epic, enough said. (trying to Google this track lead to very unexpected results, some might want to turn on the filter).
Asian Trash Boy-Bring That Bass (IKKI Remix)(IKKI is also listed in SYAR's page)
Asian Trash Boy-Whisper***
Asian Trash Boy-Intro****(Yes, I believe that was Star Wars music right there)

Yet again, MORE people from Italy that just happen to make awesome music. The Boomzers are no exception, and I recommend them to you. Also, very important is that SYAR newest production after The Mastertron's Fat Man EP (glorious) and the above mentioned Broken Symphony EP (also in a warm place in a little chest in my heart) will be an EP by the 'S' titled Legend (check our previous post on SYAR if you got curious HERE). The Boomzers do a sick remix for SYAR's newest project. Check it out below it is REALLY HARD!!:
The "S" - Legend (The Boomzers Rmx) by The Boomzers

We will keep you posted on the upcoming Boomzers EP WTF! featuring Haezer, IKKI, Aerotronic and many more on Crux Records (released on Aug. 3rd). It sounds like something we will want to get our hands on as soon as possible. Check their Soundcloud because you know you want more.

Bonus: Mr. Wonk

Mr. Wonk from Texas has some very very solid tracks. Below are two tracks that are very impressive, specially the Broken Symphony remix, which shines among all the great versions of this track. SYAR does not cease to amaze.

Agitare il tuo Culo/ Shake Your Ass Records

by Space Cadet & Mnuel

Shake Your Ass Records from Bergamo Italy (or LA/Milan?) is a label you have to keep your eyes on. Launched early in 2010 this new label (dare I say underground?) has gathered an arsenal of artists (some overlapping with the collective SideChain Massacre) from Northern Italy. If I could live anywhere in the world right now based on the music scene it would be Milan. This city and the 100 Mile area of Northern Italy surrounding the city has produced or hosted a list of artist including The Bloody Beetroots, Crookers, Gigi Barroco, Blatta & Inesha, and Cyberpunkers. Sidechain Massacre and all the artist in this post call Milan and it's surrounding cities home, except of course for East LA Favorites KRFTKDS. Check out the new North Italian producers Shake Your Ass records is bringing North America and the rest of the world, whose epic sound makes me wonder... could this be an Ed Banger-like phenomenon?

These are a few highlights from this label that has so many talented artists it is hard no to put up something from each.
*(beware this is a long post but every act is absolutely worth your time):

These east-LA based producers have been terrorizing California and whoever lucky enough to have visited their myspace for little under a year. Perhaps they are crafty in the way they make their music (we are left to wonder where the name comes from), but the one thing that is certain is that their tracks deliver, these kids put Ableton to work.

The underground Italian DJ/Producer caught my attention with his remix of the 16-bit classic SFII; however, it was not until I heard his tribute to dAta that I realized how good of a producer this guy could be. Check out these tracks and then give his new Sonata a listen on myspace:

Mr. K and Splatta Boy (check out his shit too if you are 8-bit curious) are two Italian producers not afraid to grab any song that comes their way and make it their own. From the Offspring to Cyberpunkers and from Slipknot to a cover of Lady Gaga, it is really hard to know what to expect from Belzebass, except of course for sick tracks. Check out Toccata e Figa bound to be part of your Halloween mix...if you must have one.

Masked DJs/Producers from Italy? How can you go wrong with that right? Well Pellusje definitely lives up the standards. Moonie and James Nayler are one of the more impressive duos I have heard from Italy in a while, and their remix of New Noise by Refused demonstrates they have the potential to reach a similar level to the Beetroots and Blatta & Inesha (big statement). French DJs/Producers should expect some heavy competition from their neighbors to the South.

The Mastertrons

When most people think of Verona, they're probably more likely to recall the setting of William Shakespeare's infamous play "Romeo and Juliet" than think of the bangin' Veronesi The Mastertrons. Hopefully this post will rectify that and insure that The Mastertrons are the only duo from Verona that you remember, no silly Capulets or Montagues. Formed in the Summer of 2009, The Mastertrons have been producing and DJ together for less than a year yet they have put out some strait bangers. Check out their new track Fat Man, it is huge and it will be featured on their EP "Fat Man" released on the one and only Shake Your Ass Records. Also keep an eye out for their forthcoming EP "Revenge is Coming" which will be released on July 29th. The Mastertrons themselves provided the track-list for the Revenge is Coming EP below, I'm very excited for this release, thanks boys.

Bass Kleph & Stellar MC - Spend My Money (The Mastertrons Remix)

The "S" is another filthy Bergamo Duo made up of Bizzo and Alvino. These Northern Italians are part of our favorite electro crew Sidechain Massacre. Alvino also does photography and has done shoots for the Sidechain crew including Belzebass and Pelussje. Check out some of Alvino's Photos here, I especially like his photos of Pelussje (one is included for the Pelussje section of this post). Check a bangin remix of Belzebass and a Girl and A Gun's song Neanderthal which I absolutely adore, as well as The "S" cover of The Swedish House Mafia and Laidback Luke track Leave the World Behind, "Leave the World Forward" which ads some much needed variety and flavor to an original track which is good but is sort of a repetitive rave anthem to me. Also, their remix of Afrika Bamabaataa is really good. Really you should listen to every track on their Soundcloud as they are all huge and grab my favorite original track of theirs, "Good Bye Olive" below.

Splitting his time between Milan and Los Angeles, I imagine Razmasa along with KRFTKDS will play a large role in being the face of Shake Your Ass Records in North America. If you are in any way disappointed by that fact then check out the track "Shake" by Razmasa or his colab with Belzebass "My Nigghas" and turn that frown upside-down. Enjoy!
