More Belzebass?Hell yes you do. Belzebass is another very talented and very cool duo from northern Italy. They, like The Mastertrons, have been very busy churning out tons of bangin' electro filth in the studios. I highly recommend you check out either some of our older posts on Belzebass and their Soundcloud (listen to full version of their "Yes" remix plus much more) or Myspace. This shit is Huge, Haezer is Huge, Thank you OMGITM.COM. This South African is absolutely destroying it right now and this mix highlights this fact along with showcasing some of the finest unreleased tracks that are going to kick your ass. Don't believe me download the mix, listen to filthy track James Bond by Haezer we posted a while back or skip to 6 Minutes in to the mix and check out Drivepilots new remix of the unreleased Mastertrons track Attack the Train that is an Upcoming release on Shake Your Ass Records. Massive Right? The answer is yes. Check out the full tracklist below and see what distorted evilness Haezer has in store for you.
Okay so this is officially my third post supporting this debut EP from The Mastertrons so I am going to keep it short and sweet because you all probably already know that I am absolutely crazy about this EP. The EP "Revenge Is Coming" is the debut release from the young duo from Verona, Italy and it features three original tracks and remixes from Marvul, Super Super, Venooms, Frag Maddin, Elecktroy and Modek. Mähtrasher Records has kindly provided us with two tracks off the new EP, my favorite original mix "Scorponok" and Super Super's super dope maximal house re-fix of the track "Megatron". Also, here's a little reminder from TCHNCRCY to keep your eye on Super Super who is going to be dropping their debut EP "Good On The Dancefloor" featuring a bangin' colab with Traktor Records headman aUtOdidDakT out on September 9th on Traktor. Big thanks to Mähtrasher/Traktor for these tracks and make sure you swing by beatport and grab the rest of "The Revenge Is Coming"(beatport link).
The French duo, FCKN CREW,has recently received lots of attention due to the Discoke remix contest going on at the moment, this of course is perfectly fair given how sick some of the competing remixes are (KRFTKDS, The Riotz, Slayertrash, The Boomzers, you get the idea). Their upcoming release will be an EP featuring the winner from the remix contest. Here are both the original and one of my favorite remixes: FCKN CREW-Discoke*** (can't truly appreciate any of the remixes without hearing the original first) FUKN CREW-Discoke (The Mastertrons Remix)******* (you know The Mastertrons and you know it will be a close race)
But lets give some well deserved credit to the creators of the original track, and to be more precise the creators of MANY sick original tracks. If you didn't know and by some reason it slipped under your radar, back in 2008 the duo from Bastia put out an LP titled Class of Nuke'Em High featuring remixes by Toxic Avenger and Deadbots (named after a 1989 movie about teenagers acting crazy because they do drugs that became radioactive by being exposed to the local power plant... don't know what to expect, but I would watch that). So if you are looking for some old new music get the album while you wait for the latest EP to drop (I wouldn't bring up something from so long ago if it wasn't worth it). FCKN CREW-Carnage (Deadbots Remix)*** FCKN CREW-Challenger***** Darth Vader is talking to you
*"Get Your Kitty Right Up There Close" --- Blatta & Inesha from Pet Massage
After a string of great releases in the past week from some of the most talented producers Italia has to offer, I decided a post was well overdue. Check out the finest tracks the past week of Italian music has to offer.
Everything about Blatta & Inesha entertains me. From their blog blattainesha.com to their orginal productions and remixes, I can't get over their raw talent and fantastic sense of humor. Today they dropped "Pet Massage" on New York based label Crux Records and it is no exception, blending stiff drum rhythms with interesting leads and bridges and dropping some serious bassline synths, "Pet Massage" is not a track that you should miss.
Churning out bassline crushers for over 2 years now and Crux Records has really come into it's own in the past few months with a chain of releases from the likes of the Shaved Moneys, Oddword, DJ Antention and Sawgood and a slighter older catalog of releases for artists like Mustard Pimp, Gigi Barocco, Stereoheros and Ajapai, and many many more. This NY label has quickly become one of the most consistently bangin' record labels in the business. Check out the whole "Pet Massage EP" below and grab the Elektropusher Remix of the new track. Follow the links in the Soundcloud player to purchase these fantastic tracks
Milano locals Reset! get mad respect from all of us here at TCHNCRCY. From their disgustingly amazing O.G. track Gasa, to all of thier remixes, I have way too much love for this fantastically talented Italian Crew. They recently dropped a new remix of the colab between english big beat legend Fatboy Slim and Cheap Thrill's record mogul and multi-aliased producer best know as Hervé. This remix is a yet another banger form one of the few production trios in the business (Give Me A Kiss being the only other I really know). Also, If you are lucky enough to make it out the the dance capital of the world, Ibiza, Spain this October make sure you don't miss Reset! playing a set with the one and only Club 75 at Pachà on October 1st. Going to Ibiza has always been a dream of mine and seeing this much talent on one stage is more like a nightmare for all of those us that are not attending. Be sure to catch Reset! with Club 75 if you are anywhere near Ibiza in two months and see the most producers, let alone tallent, behind one CDJ of anywhere in the world.
Okay, so I feel like I probably should have done this a while as we have ago but due to the fact that these tracks haven't been leaked, blogged or hyped until very recently so I felt bad letting the public in on this little secret. Well here it is, the Verona duo The Mastertrons' new EP titled "Revenge Is Coming" and boy oh boy folks, THIS SHIT ROCKS. This debut EP from The Mastertrons dropped last Thursday and I am honestly shocked at the lack of exposure it has received. This EP is fucking fantastic! All of the original tracks are complete destroyers and highly, HIGHLY recomended by this blog. Also, I absolutely love the Remixes by Elektroy, Venooms, and Modek; though the mixes by Frag Maddin, Super Super, and Marvul are also very solid and definitely worth a listen. All in all this is a massive release from The Mastertrons and Traktor Records sub-label Mähtrasher. If you don't trust me give the tracks below a listen, they're my top picks off a fantastic EP and then pick them up for yourselves over at Gigacrate for less then $10 or your favorite digital music store (except for beatport which doesn't offer the EP for some strange reason).
Mähtrasher Bonus - Okay, so I know that Markus Lange and Stereofunk, and the label Mähtrasher that they released their new single "Dr. Manhattan" on are all German and not Italian. But when give this new track by these two hard working and hard hitting German producers a listen I am sure you will see some similarities between "Dr. Manhattan" and the filthy, durty Italian sound pioneered by producers like Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo. Markus Lange and Sterofunk's new dominating-synth driven anthem will surely draw comparison to the 2009 rave anthem Warp 1.9 by The Bloody Beetroots, so if you are a fan of fist pumping, rave-moshing and roaring synths then check out the new single "Dr. Manhattan". The single also comes with remixes by the likes of Traktor/Mähtrasher don, aUtOdiDakT who delivers a much darker yet still undeniably funky/dancey interpretation of the track, as well as SCNDL's old-school electro influenced rework and Prozac Polka's low-end dominating remix. Grab the original version of "Dr. Manhattan" below, kindly provided by Mähtrasher Records and then jump over to beatport to check out all the fantastic remixes of the massive new track.
Crux Bonus - Okay well, Shax isn't really from Italy either so they couldn't technically make the Italian post and get filed under the bonus section... But when you are from the smallest country in the world known as Vatican City: the Holy See. Since Shax is from a country that rests entirely within the Italian city of Rome and might even be from rome only claiming the Vatican as home (Please comment if you know) and the title of his new track is "I Get Dirty", I would say it is safe to include him in an Dirty Italia Post.
If you need more proof of my above statement that Crux Records has consistently churning out straight bangers for the past few months look no further than Shax's new single "I Get Dirty" which Crux also released today on top of "Pet Massage". This new release from the fabulous NY Label is Electro Punk at it's very finest. Grab The Mastertrons remix of the new single "I Get Dirty" and make sure you swing by beatport at least to grab the phenomenal original but also to check out more remixes by the likes of Doc Trashz, The Boomzers, and Flatland Funk, all of which are great. *Trust me, I saved the dirtiest, dirty (pseudo-)Italian for last.
We here at Technocracy Music are big fans of all the work done over at Italian label Shake Your Ass Records. They have a sweet fucking name, love putting it down with some heavy, fucked up bass tracks and theyall cohesively kick ass which is hard to find. So it should be no surprise that when a new Italiano producer going by the moniker Chemical whipped up a the new "Ghost EP" not only is it straight on point but they're giving it out for free. Tits yeah! It's all set up for you to grab below, courtesy of the label's soundcloud. I highly recommend checking it out. The title track is epic, with an almost Crystal Castles like voice sample and Bloody Beetroots worthy basswork. Don't skip the other two originals, though, as "Dust" is phenomenal, possibly my favorite, and "Poulpe écrasé" hits you harder than 5 am sunlight. And don't miss either remixes...screw it, just grab the whole EP. It's all great. Five Stars all around.
A few weeks back Gtronic put out his first official EP on the now infamous label Dim Mak. Seeing as we here at TCHNCRCY have been huge fans of Gtronic forever, and his new "Sucker Punch - EP" is an undeniable banger I had to throw one of the tracks up here so that anyone who hasn't grabbed this awesome EP would run out and grab it. I also stumbled upon TCHNCRCY favorites, The Mastertron's mix of the title track "Sucker Punch". Beware of this track it is one Sucker Punch that is liable to knock you the fuck out! Also keep a sharp eye on this Verona duo as their Debut EP "Revenge is Coming" is dropping on Mätrasher Records on the 29th of this month. And myself being one of the lucky few to get on the promo list for this release, take it from me this EP is going to be a huge one, DO NOT MISS IT. But first grab get a taste for the "Sucker Punch - EP" Below and then grab it on beatport here.
Bonus - More groovy goodness from another fabulous Dim Mak artist, Felix Cartal who just remixed a track off L.A. favorite Valerna new EP "Look Ma, No Pants!" which bangs all too hard, grab it on beatport here. In addition, I also have Valerna's Remix of Pance Parties track Maru from their "Kim Jong Thrill EP", personally I like Valverna's version more though the original is very tasty. In other things Valerna related, I just heard that Valerna is playing Control with Wolfgang Gartner and Harvard Bass on August 13th, NASTY SOUNDIN' NIGHT!
A few days ago Russian heavy bass king DJ Antention dropped his EP "Go" on Mähtrasher Records and I immediately purchased the whole thing on Beatport. Trust me friends, this is $16 well spent. DJ Antention dropped two new original tracks that floored me, the title track "Go" is phenomenal and unlike most two sided EPs today the second track "We Are Brooklyn" is equally filthy. Also Mähtrasher brought on a ridiculously talented crew to remix the title track "Go" including The Mastertrons, Super Super, Aerotronic, Ikki, Bigger & Bolder, and Frag Maddin. All in all this was another fantastic release from the upstart Traktor Records sublable Mähtrasher. When DJ/Producer aUtOdiDakT and owner of Traktor/Mähtrasher Records gave us the green light to post a few of the songs off Antention's new EP, I couldn't get this post up fast enough. Don't believe me check out some Artist reviews and support of the new EP and grab original mix of DJ Antention's Giant track "Go" below.
Edu K: best track: Dj Antention - Go (Aerotronic Remix)fuck! crazy bunch of trax! remixes are killin' it!!!! lovin' Mähtrasher right now! 10/10 *Summing up my opinion exactly, thnx Edu K! aUtOdiDakT: Antention is built to last and Go is his masterpiece yet! 10/10 Brian Lindsay: HOLY SH@T! This track just knocked me on my ass! This track is going straight in my charts and getting massive support from me! 9/10 The Mastertrons: Great EP! 100% ;) And others like: Cyberpunkers, Distrakt, Gtronic, Hostage, Larry Tee, Markus Lange an Zero Cash! give the go EP 2 Thumbs up.
Mähtrasher Records is not one you want to take your eye off. With three massive releases in the bag including this "Go" EP, Aerotronic's EP "Sex & Cigarettes" (Grab Sawgood/Antention Mix here) and the new Beatport exclusive release "Dr. Manhatan" EP by Markus Lange and Stereofunk (a must have for Bloody Beetroots fans, SERIOUSLY), all Mähtrasher releases can be purchased on beatport here. Mähtrasher is showing no signs of slowing down. Mähtrasher is releasing The Mastertrons' EP titled "Revenge Is Comming" on July 29th. Looking further ahead there will be EPs from Distrakt, aUtOdiDakT & John Disco (aUtODisco), Noize Generation, Pola-Riot, Rotze and of course another from DJ Antention with guest remixes appearances by The Oddworld, Serial Chillers and the whole Mähtrasher crew remixing each other. In order to satiate your craving for more Mähtrasher chunes grab The Mastertrons Mix of "Go", you won't be disappointed but it might make July 29th seem a lot further away.
B.O.N.U.S - You all should know by now that TCHNCRCY has mad love for the Russian phenom Proxy but Antetion is posing a serious threat to Proxy's reign of heavy bass champion of Russia and maybe the world. Head over to DJ antention website to understand what I mean if you are uncomfortable with that claim. Pay Special attention to his and Sawgood's mix of the Belzebass track "Du Auch!" but everthing is great and a lot is free, very cool of him. Grab some of his free tracks below and hit up the website to check out the rest.
P.S. No offense to Proxy, who I still love and would seriously Destroy a bitch to not miss him at Hard Summer ;).
Shake Your Ass Records from Bergamo Italy (or LA/Milan?) is a label you have to keep your eyes on. Launched early in 2010 this new label (dare I say underground?) has gathered an arsenal of artists (some overlapping with the collective SideChain Massacre) from Northern Italy. If I could live anywhere in the world right now based on the music scene it would be Milan. This city and the 100 Mile area of Northern Italy surrounding the city has produced or hosted a list of artist including The Bloody Beetroots, Crookers, Gigi Barroco, Blatta & Inesha, and Cyberpunkers. Sidechain Massacre and all the artist in this post call Milan and it's surrounding cities home, except of course for East LA Favorites KRFTKDS. Check out the new North Italian producers Shake Your Ass records is bringing North America and the rest of the world, whose epic sound makes me wonder... could this be an Ed Banger-like phenomenon?
These are a few highlights from this label that has so many talented artists it is hard no to put up something from each.
*(beware this is a long post but every act is absolutely worth your time):
These east-LA based producers have been terrorizing California and whoever lucky enough to have visited their myspace for little under a year. Perhaps they are crafty in the way they make their music (we are left to wonder where the name comes from), but the one thing that is certain is that their tracks deliver, these kids put Ableton to work.
The underground Italian DJ/Producer caught my attention with his remix of the 16-bit classic SFII; however, it was not until I heard his tribute to dAta that I realized how good of a producer this guy could be. Check out these tracks and then give his new Sonata a listen on myspace:
Mr. K and Splatta Boy (check out his shit too if you are 8-bit curious) are two Italian producers not afraid to grab any song that comes their way and make it their own. From the Offspring to Cyberpunkers and from Slipknot to a cover of Lady Gaga, it is really hard to know what to expect from Belzebass, except of course for sick tracks. Check out Toccata e Figa bound to be part of your Halloween mix...if you must have one.
Masked DJs/Producers from Italy? How can you go wrong with that right? Well Pellusje definitely lives up the standards. Moonie and James Nayler are one of the more impressive duos I have heard from Italy in a while, and their remix of New Noise by Refused demonstrates they have the potential to reach a similar level to the Beetroots and Blatta & Inesha (big statement). French DJs/Producers should expect some heavy competition from their neighbors to the South.
When most people think of Verona, they're probably more likely to recall the setting of William Shakespeare's infamous play "Romeo and Juliet" than think of the bangin' Veronesi The Mastertrons. Hopefully this post will rectify that and insure that The Mastertrons are the only duo from Verona that you remember, no silly Capulets or Montagues. Formed in the Summer of 2009, The Mastertrons have been producing and DJ together for less than a year yet they have put out some strait bangers. Check out their new track Fat Man, it is huge and it will be featured on their EP "Fat Man" released on the one and only Shake Your Ass Records. Also keep an eye out for their forthcoming EP "Revenge is Coming" which will be released on July 29th. The Mastertrons themselves provided the track-list for the Revenge is Coming EP below, I'm very excited for this release, thanks boys.
The "S" is another filthy Bergamo Duo made up of Bizzo and Alvino. These Northern Italians are part of our favorite electro crew Sidechain Massacre. Alvino also does photography and has done shoots for the Sidechain crew including Belzebass and Pelussje. Check out some of Alvino's Photos here, I especially like his photos of Pelussje (one is included for the Pelussje section of this post). Check a bangin remix of Belzebass and a Girl and A Gun's song Neanderthal which I absolutely adore, as well as The "S" cover of The Swedish House Mafia and Laidback Luke track Leave the World Behind, "Leave the World Forward" which ads some much needed variety and flavor to an original track which is good but is sort of a repetitive rave anthem to me. Also, their remix of Afrika Bamabaataa is really good. Really you should listen to every track on their Soundcloud as they are all huge and grab my favorite original track of theirs, "Good Bye Olive" below.
Splitting his time between Milan and Los Angeles, I imagine Razmasa along with KRFTKDS will play a large role in being the face of Shake Your Ass Records in North America. If you are in any way disappointed by that fact then check out the track "Shake" by Razmasa or his colab with Belzebass "My Nigghas" and turn that frown upside-down. Enjoy!
We love music and you do too. Buy the music you can and support the artists. They make the music we live to, so throw them some drinking money and get the higher quality songs you need (Beatport). Speaking of musically talented people, we're here to spread the music you guys make and we'll take down anything you don't want out and about. Let us know if we step over the line or want us to listen to your stuff at TechnocracyMusic@hotmail.com. Much Love.
