Justice's New LP in Justice's Own Words
Justice's latest LP 'Audio, Video, Disco' has probably been the most anticipated album of the year, and probably the subject of most debate among the french duo's fans. Not surprisingly, to those looking for Cross Pt. 2 the album did not cut it. Nonetheless, it is important to recognize that there is very high quality work and production value behind some of those tracks. I could sit here and argue either side of the argument all night long, but it doesn't really matter. You already listened to the tracks and have made up your own mind. You already know how much you love/hate it, and how stoked/disappointed you are that they took a different approach to production than they did with Cross. Feel like asking Justice why the change? Well, here is what they have to say about it (at least what Xavier has to say, Gaspard seems to quietly agree):

What's New?: Justice
For those of you who know us, you already know TCHNCRCY loves Justice. And if you're like me, you've already have heard this track up and down. I'm excited for the new album. These dudes are heavy hitters and we all know it. Civilization was awesome for me. Audio Video Disco is great as well. People talk about the underwhelming feel you get from the first listen but these songs are built to last. More importantly, they fit pretty much any set. I'm excited for the LP and this is a taste. Get ready.

Blaster and Touché Records: Cybertron EP
Blaster (a.k.a. Guillaume Cloutouis) is a 22 year old french producer that doesn't hesitate to make his tracks as hard as possible. If you are a fan of Q.G., then these tracks are for you. Blaster's Cybertron EP, released on the very young Touché Records (BvD & Hypethembeats), is a banger to say the least, and not to mention his most polished work to date.
The EP includes two tracks: Cybertron and Chainsaw, with remixes by K.OH!, Dead Cat Bounce and many others (as well as some Transformers samples). Check out my favorite tracks below and definitely buy the EP over HERE.

NEW Justice: Civilization
The Cross is back! After so long we hear some new Justice. This time the track Civilization comes as part of an Adidas campaign. You can check out the track along with the video, directed by no other than Romain Gavras below (and we all know how good these two can be together..ahem Stress). The track will be available through Ed Banger, of course, on April 4th, so don't miss its full length release. I like it, it is Justice, it is chill, it has a great combo of vocals and synths, and is very well put together, lets just hope tracks to come can be more "stressful."
New Justice, new Sebastian, new MSTRKRFT, 2011 could be the new 2007 for electro. I recommend you check in with us often, because we will definitely keep you posted on these upcoming releases and more.
BonusBonusBonusBonusBonusBonusBonusBonus
On a similar note, we also have the return of another great producer that has been absent from our pages for over a year. Le Castle Vania is back with a very sick D.I.M remix, one of his best by far. Check it out!

Also check out his Bulletproof Tiger Mixtape Vol. 2, with many more unreleased SICK tracks like Awake (feat. Desire).

Aaren Reale and Chewy Chocolate Cookies: Black EP
Aaren Reale, from Lyon France, is releasing an incredible EP, that includes two original tracks and an edit for of those already great songs by Chewy Chocolate Cookies. For those of you, who know CCC, you know that when these guys put their hands on something it is bound to be epic. Words cannot fully describe how well-done this EP is, so I am just going to put the preview below and the link to buy it over here. The tracks speak for themselves.
CCC009 - Aaren Reale "Black" EP - Out Now - Beatport.com Exclusive by ChewyChocolateCookies
But please, do not make the mistake of thinking, that since CCC is part of it they are carrying all the weight. Demonstrating Aaren Reale's talent is no hard job. I think it is fair to say that remixing Justice is not easy, and that only a few and for that matter the greatest have done so successfully (Boys Noize and Soulwax come to mind). Keeping those high standards in mind, give Aaren Reale's remix of We Are Your Friends a minute and it will impress you.

Ninetynine & Dominic Pierce: Close To Modern
Ninetynine is a Canadian producer originally from Calgary but now based in Vancouver. He makes music that he describes as Nightmare House/Electro and I agree, he produces dark, heavy and scary breed of electro/house. But don't take it from me, his tracks have been supported, remixed and played out in sets by some of the founders and champions of heavy and scary electro/house like The Proxy, Q.G., Les Petits Pilous, and Mashed Paper Klub. Want some music? Grab some huge tracks from 99 down below and swing by his soundcloud to hear more.
Ninetynine - Petrol
Ninetynine - Chernobyl SS
Mr. Oizo - Hun (Ninetynine Remix)
We Are Tokyo - Best In Me (Ninetynine's Nightmare Remix)
Dominic Pierce is another talented Canadian originally from Calgary and based in Van. & Calgary. Dominic lists his major influences as Cassius, Daft Punk and Basement Jaxx which you can definitely feel through his music. He produces a unique, original and awesome mixture of House and French Touch with a whole lot more. With much support coming from talented French Touchers like The Phantoms Revenge, Dominic clearly got skills. Check out some of his work below and make sure you swing by his Soundcloud page for added listening.
Dominic Pierce - Blonde (Original Mix)
Dominic Pierce - Blonde (The Phantoms Revenge Remix)
Dominic Pierce - Vibrations
Close To Modern Bonus: Dominic Pierce and Ninetynine also co-run a label project called Close To Modern. So far it is just the two of them on the label as well as their collaborative project NNPP. Keep an eye out of Close To Modern, Dominic, 99 and NNPP in the near future, I expect big things.
If you wanna know more about Close To Modern, please swing by their awesome tumblr page. Their tumblr rocks, it has music, photos, humor and all kinds of funny and/or super rare interviews with some very interesting individuals. The following super hilarious interview with French legends Justice is taken from the Close to Modern tumblr.

Rubber Pt. 2: Rubber EP
*Yeah, Busy P cameo! The song in this clip is POLOCAUST from the Rubber EP.
Okay so the Rubber EP leaked today and I couldn't help but post a few songs. Firstly because its so good, secondly because I thought I was gonna have to wait 2 more weeks to hear this yesterday and finally because It's the first new track from Augé I've herd in over a year, What!?!?! The title track "Rubber" is too damn good and blends the style and vibe of Mr. Oizo and Justice perfectly, like bleepy, glitchy, chopped up, funky ass house and melodic heavy metal... with horns (the Flying Lotus Remix is very good as well). The other two tracks sound more like a movie score than dance floor bangers but have such a strong Justice vibe it feels like Oizo has been possessed by the ghost of De Rosnay. Check out "Tricycle Express" to see what I mean, sounds almost like Planisphere Pt. 2, not very characteristic of Oizo's style at all. However the Rubber EP is amazing and a must have, check it out below and like I a said in the last post, the full EP drops on the 14th on Ed Banger Records, make sure you pick it up.
Mr. Oizo & Gaspard Augé - Rubber (Original Mix)*****Yeah baby, Augé and Oizo are back!

Rubber: Soundtrack Teaser by Mr. Oizo and Gaspard Augé
Quentin Dupieux is a world renown musician and filmmaker from France who most know by the name Mr. Oizo. Mr. Oizo is currently working on his second feature length film Rubber, which boasts a soundtrack produced by Gaspard Augé (1/2 of Justice) and Mr. Oizo himself. Augé and Ed Banger Records head Pedro Winter AKA Busy P also make cameo appearances in the film which as far as I can tell is about a tire that comes to life and starts killing people, Awesome! So you are not excited by the fact that Mr. Oizo and Gaspard will produce a completely original soundtrack for Oizo's new film than check out this teaser for the soundtrack.
If that still hasn't got you hyped consider that in November Justice made a statement to Mix Mag saying that they wouldn't begin work on their new album until Rubber's Soundtrack was completed. Also, Mr. Oizo's new full length album titled 2010 will not be released until Rubber. So really the release of this film means not only a new album by Oizo and Gaspard but also that new Justice and Mr. Oizo's 2010 is just around the corner!
This soundtrack teaser has made Rubber coupled with upcoming release of Tron: Legacy which will be scored by Daft Punk just too much cinematic excitement for me to handle. If you're like me and can't deal with the wait for this theatrical glory check out Steak, Mr. Oizo's first feature film for which he produced the soundtrack with another French House giant, SebastiAn and French Singer/Songwriter Sebastien Tellier. The music for Steak, is phenomenal and the film itself is very weird but also very cool. SebastiAn is also currently working on a New LP and, according to Busy P, is also currently working on producing yet another soundtrack for Romain Gavras' new full length feature film, TOO EXCITING!
You can head over to the official website for Rubber and check out the trailer and some scenes from the film.
The above video soundtrack teaser features snippets the following songs:
“POLOCAUST”
“RUBBER”
“TRICYCLE EXPRESS”
“RUBBER” Flying Lotus unprotected sex mix

ReSet! and R3SET
Who knows when you first heard of ReSet!? It could've been when they got hyped for their massive remix of Cassius's "Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigerettes", you know the same remix that made it into super-group Club 75 Mixmag Mix. Maybe it was their remix of the Audiobullies that made "Only Man!" polished and sparkle like the sun. Or maybe you just don't know about the awesome 4 Dj/Producer combo that is the Milanese powerhouse of ReSet! It really doesn't matter, because the fact is they make great music and because that's what we're about here at TCHNCRCY it's all we really need to know. The reason I draw your attention to the fantastic stylings of some of Italy's finest is that they just dropped a remix of Graffiti 6's "Annie You Save Me" that is too hot to hold and I've been looking for any excuse to bring these boys up. Give the sample a chance and wait till the vocal chopping comes in because it will bring the house down. Also, check out the remix of Cassius I was talking about (there's a reason it got so much hype) and get down to the fidgety remix of London legend Hervé's "Blaze It". And because nothing beats one-stop shopping, check out their original "Gasa" which is not only dirty, grimey, and downright fantastic but it's got some crazy carnival synth stuff I can really get behind. We've got love for ReSet!
Graffiti 6 - Annie You Save Me (Reset! Remix) (320 kbps)***
Cassius - Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes (Reset! Trouble Remix) (320 kbps)
Hervé - Blaze It (Reset! Remix) (192 kbps)
Reset! - Gasa (320 kbps)
This is for clarification, but mostly because they drop some crazy beats, but R3SET is not ReSet! I was very lost for a little while, blogs keep mixing the two up so I finally buckled down and checked it out. Maybe you already knew, but R3SET is a filthy French duo (Lionel de Fontenoy and Gilles Chateaubriant) from Strasbourg that produce and DJ some hard fucking electro. While I'm tempted to say I favor the Italians, if you've listened to R3SET's remix of DATA's "Rapture" you know how hard it is to choose. That track is by far one of the best tracks out there period. Makes me long for Death From Above...come on Sebastien Grainger, stop fucking around! So which of the two is better? Who the fuck cares! The beauty is that they are both making banging music that you can enjoy. If you do one thing today, grab their DATA remix. And if you do three, pick up R3SET's remix of "D.A.N.C.E." (one of the only remixes of that song I ever listen to) and grab the Redial remix as well.

Parachute Nam Nam
I am not about to direct your attention to a new release, instead I want to share a little jewel from 2009 that I found in my library just in case you missed it. The Parachute Ending by Birdy Nam Nam is very very very good if you are willing to wait until min. 2:07 where the change in tempo and the drop of the beat should for sure get everyone raging in the dance floor (or banging your head harder or whatever it is you do when you hear sick music). This track should help us cope while we wait for Justice to drop some new shit, it has "produced by Justice" written all over.
The video reminds me of Kenny's trip on cat urine, anyone else sees that?
Birdy Nam Nam-The Parachute Ending (Prod. by Justice)
Also check out Birdy Nam Nam's super hyper remix of the track:

Bonus:
....this is a fucking weird video of Vitalic's Poney Part 1 (2006), forgive the randomness..

Club 75 plays Dubstep!?!?
Let me start by saying how truly epic Coachella 2010 looked. I've been so upset I couldn't make the annual pilgrimage out to Indio, CA for Coachella. And the fact I've missed some of the killer acts that have rolled thru PDX on their way down to the festival (A.K.A. Yeasayer, Miike Snow, The XX) thanks to a little thing called school, drives me fucking insane. So if you are in my boat and all you can do is bitch and moan about missing Proxy slaying it at noon and scour the internet to jack off to Deadmau5 shutting down the Sahara Tent with some of the illist visuals ever, then don't watch these videos of supergroup Club 75. Otherwise, enjoy!
The Ed Banger Crew of Busy P, DJ Mehdi, Gaspard Augé, So Me and legends Cassius drop "Ice Cream" by Borgore and then "Sweet Shop" by Doctor P. My mind is blown!
Xavier De Rosnay the other half of Justice, besides Augé, supposedly couldn't make it out of France due to the volcanic activity in Iceland. So, if the first transition between Stress and Aerodynamic is a little awkward forgive Gaspard as I've never seen him on a CDJ before and I think he's more of a producer and musician than a DJ. Whatever, this set is so sick, the Cassius 1999 Remix at the end of the above video is so tight. Club 75 dominates, it's a supergroup of some of Frances most influential producers... who are all friends... partying and playing out their music. Check out part 3 of these videos here, where they throw down We Are Your Friends. And grab the Cassius 1999 Remix and Cassius' new remix for the Booka Shade track Bad Love. Also, more music from Ed Banger friend Jackson and His Computer Band who remix of the ex-Ed Banger, Kavinsky's tune "Pacific Coast Highway".
