Clouds - Numbers EP + Sound of Stereo - Hurricane EP

WARNING: ONLY LISTEN TO THE MUSIC IN THIS POST WITH HUGE SPEAKERS W/ SUBS OR HEADPHONES THAT COST MORE THAN $100
Originally hailing from Perth, Clouds is a Duo now based in Edinburgh who definitely know how to grind out a bassline. Their debut EP Mauful Sir/Liquid contained some of the most heavy and grittiest bass sounds I ever heard since first laying ears on Russian phemon Proxy. Clouds, like thier label mate Proxy, share a love for a devastating sub range bass and Minimal-Maximal Prog House. If you do to check out this post.
Clouds just dropped thier Numbers EP and definitely didn't disappoint. I loved thier debut EP but Numbers is even better. It has everything I love from housey chops to minimal bleeps and banging, terrifying maximal bass. And all these elements are combined to produce phenomenal follow up EP and constantly varied to produce a diverse ever shifting sonic landscape, part beauty and fun and part terror and destruction.
The Numbers EP is scheduled for release on March 29th on Turbo Recordings. Until then I highly recommend you give the EP a listen down below.
My favorite tracks are NUMBERS and BEEN WARNED. But the other two tracks rock as well, SUCKER even slightly reminds me of Proxy's fantastic Shit Your Rack remix.
If you like Clouds sounds above, I highly recommend that you check out Sound of Stereo's new EP, Hurricane. It is out now on Lektroluv Records and can be purchased through the link in the Soundcloud player below. The Hurricane EP features the same sort of minimal song structure with massive maximal bass and synth sounds. I highly recommend you check out/support this fantastic Belgian duo down below.

Mako Records New Secret Weapon: ATTACK 1985

We all love the hard tracks that Mako Records puts out, lets face it (even Destructo can't deny his love for the label; "my secret weapon" says the man behind hard referring to the Mako tracks he likes to spin in a recent interview). Mako is adding a new member to its family: Attack 1985. This German duo fits in perfectly with the sound that Russian legend Proxy is trying to spread. Below you will find a video teaser for their upcoming Intruder EP as well as their remix of a Proxy track that you just can't miss...unless of course you are a little bitch. Oh and also a really fucking cool video with explosions, tits and a great track.
And please, head over to their soundcloud because all of his tracks are available for download.

I ♥ LA

Okay so this is a post where I essentially am going to brag about the amount of phenomenal music that is and has been thrown down this week in Los Angeles. Between last Saturday 8/7 and this Saturday 8/14 I will have seen some of my favorite artist on the mutha fucking planet. If you want some idea of the mayhem and lack of sleep that has accompanied this past week of ridiculousness please look at the lineup for Hard Summer. After that epic all nighter add the fact SonicC & Autoerotique played Dim Mak Tuesdays, Wolfgang Gartner, Harvard Bass, Skrillex and Valerna are playing Control tonight at the Avalon, then we have the Mad Decent/Diesel/Jelly Block Party Saturday afternoon with acts like Gaslamp Killer, Nosaj Thing, Theophilus London, Maluca, Ninjasonik and more FO' FREE and then finally Party Smartie, KRFTKDS & Many more are playing this Saturday night. If that isn't enough debauchery and excitement for one week, then you NEED to tell me where you live, That right Ibiza  and Pukkelpop, I think you just got dominated.
So I officially had the time of my life at Hard Summer, great venue, AMAZING LINE-UP and surprisingly mature, cool and knowledgeable crowd which is always a plus considering the amount of tragedy that unfolded at electronic music events this summer. Hard is truly a one of a kind music festival that has transformed from an hip underground dance event, like the Justice show on NYE 2006/07 to world-class music festival. It seems like every event since their first has gotten progressively better (with the exception of Hard Summer 09, of course). This summers Hard festival was probably the best I have attended not only musically but just in terms of preparation and smoothness of the event, AKA you could actually get drinks in a reasonable time frame unlike other Hard events. I was thinking about how they could ever step-up this event as I was writing this post and then a Hard Presents email popped up in my inbox announcing the line-up to Hard Haunted Mansion 2010 and all I can say is WOW! Look to the left of the text, FUCK ME,  that is one of the best Hard Lineups period and includes essentially every world touring electro artist I love that didn't make it out to LA this summer including: Mr. Oizo, BBR, Crookers, SebastiAn, Fake Blood and so much more. This announcement caps off what already has and continues to be THE BEST WEEK FOR LA ELECTRONIC MUSIC I have ever had the privilege to be part of.
Don't Belive me, Check out some of these tracks below and see the glory that I witnessed live over the past 7 days. First up we have a new remix from Proxy of Congorock's killer Babylon, thanks to Technocolorkids for this set rip, sorry it is kinda a shitty set rip but trust me, I saw proxy drop this live at Hard Summer and it was pure destruction. Also, we got a couple tracks from Skream, all the hype form Hard Summer surrounded Soulwax (live), Digitalism, Tiga, Proxy, Erol Alkan and Major Lazer; and that is for very good reason, those fools absolutely killed it but one of my favorite sets of the day was Skream and Benga. Check out Skream's tracks WTF, like Cockney Thug but mo' gangsta, I think I lost my my voice from S(K)REAMING, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU LOOKING AT?, at 6:00 in the afternoon! I was by myself because my friends are lazy and didn't show up till like 7:00, I don't think many people had heard the song before so the first time I screamed it everyone around me thought I was insane .

Skream - WTF *Gotta scream this one out loud in the car!
*WARNING ALL THESE TRACKS MIGHT BE TOO HUGE FOR YOU!

Yes, this is happening tonight. This could pretty much be my selection of my favorite American electro producers minus maybe SonicC, Squeak E Clean, KRFTKDS and Diplo all of which I have seen or will see in the past week! I mean there are alot more very tallented U.S. producer like the east coast and dubstep contingent of Hot Pink Delorian, Drop the Lime, NiT GriT, Bassnectar, Designer Drugs, AC Slater,  and many awesome others. All I am trying to say is that tonight is gonna be pretty huge and if you are anywhere near LA tonight you should most definitely head to Control at the Avalon. Here's some tracks.
Sorry their is no Wolfgang, but you should know Mr. Youngman (Wolfgang Gartner) that you are know my officially my favorite Rave/Tech/Prog House producer now that the Mau5 had a bitch-out and snitched on Rusko for smoking weed backstage at a show (hop over to their respective Twitters to see the whole saga unfold, go back to around July 17th). Sorry Joel (DeadMau5) I like your label and your music but I agree with Rusko, SNITCHES GET STITCHES. Esspecially if you rat on someone for smoking dope (harmless, never killed anyone) when a large part of your fame comes from kids that only like your music cause they have had a face full of Ecstasy (killed a 15 year old at EDC). Enough talk just tracks from some of tonights talent.

Clockwork - Airflow (Valerna Remix) *Thanks to Gotta Dance Dirty and Chemical Jump for this nugget.

Okay so KRFTKDS are playing tonight in East LA and I'm sorry that I can't make that show but Control is closer and I just can't miss that lineup. But tomorrow, after you all hit up the FREE, FREE, FREE Block Party by Mad Decent & Jelly I highly recommend you stay downtown at watch those KRAFTYKIDS present a show featuring Austrian sensations Party Smartie and others including: Blah Blah Blah, Fat Pockets,  Grand Thieves, Love Weapon and one other artist who's name I can't read because the event has the worst flyer ever. Whatever though, Saturday sounds like another very long and awesome day here in the City of Angels.
*Here's the scoop on the Downloads, the KRFTKDS orignial track is gonna be killed after 55 Downloads because they were already kind enough to give 100 copies away for free so if you slept then get it now before its gone forever. Also the Party Smartie track is amazing and free to Download here and on their soundcloud which you should check out, I was thinking of doing a full post on the electro scene in Vienna, Austria including artist like Pola Riot, The Integrals, Party Smartie and others, so let me know what you think world.

KRFTKDS (pronounced Krafty Kids, so ya know) - Rock All Night

A Mako Invasion

Durring WWII the development of Russian T-34 Tank revolutionized tank design forever. The T-34 was truely revolutionary because it used sloped tank walls which allowed lighter armor to be more effective. The having tank walls that weren't perpendicular to the ground meant that a shot fired parallel with the ground would either bounce off the angled surface or have to penetrate a greater distance through the metal due to the slope than if the metal were perpendicular, making thinner armor effectively thicker and more protective. Since the T-34 had much thinner armor than other tanks of the era like the German Tiger and Panzer Tanks the T-34 was lighter, faster and much easier to produce than the German or American equivalent. From 1941 to 1945 a staggering 57,000 T-34 Tanks rolled out of Soviet factories and onto the battlefield. Truly shocking when you compare the almost 60,000 Soviet T-34s to German's answer to the T-34, the Tiger Tank of which only 1,347 units were ever built during the entire war. The Russian T-34 was truly revolutionary and unrivaled during it's time in service.

If at this point you are wondering why I chose to share this story of the incredible T-34 Tank with you it is for the simple fact that I love loud and heavy things that go BOOM and destroy shit. And even more than that I love loud, heavy, Russian shit that goes boom! So if you are like me and share this passion than check out some new material from Proxy's record label Mako.

To clarify Mako Records is a label showcasing only Russian artists started by the Russian bass phemon Proxy. However Proxy himself is still signed to Tiga's record label Turbo.

Mako has rehashed Russia's dominance of destruction with a chain of fantastic releases from the likes of Polymorphic, Marseilles and The Mould. And the latest release from Mako "Hole - EP" from Eclier. Check out Marseille Remix of the banger title track "Hole" from the new EP as well as some other Crushers from Mako artists and tell me wether or not you think that Mako is the best all Russian invention since the T-34! Also be sure to grab the whole "Hole - EP" from beatport here, the track "Varanus" off the EP is just too good to give away for free!

Bonus - To stick with our WWII them of the day check out Stalingrad, a track that is only slightly less devastating than the famous WWII battle fought over the city. (That is a joke for anyone who I just offended, I am fully aware that 2 Million people died in the Battle for Stalingrad which was one of the most brutal and horrifying battles in the entire history of warfare. To put the tragedy of the loss of life in perspective, Roughly 20 times more people died in this battle than from the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined.)

Tenkah - Stalingrad (Ikki Remix) -All jokes aside, Great Track!

aUtOdiDakT feat. Super Super

Unser Freund Andres Klein (A.K.A aUtOdiDakT), DJ and Manager of Traktor Records, sent us a sample of his latest work featuring Germany's Super Super "Here We Go." The track is sick, we love it, but the special thing about this release is the relative variety across genres found with each different remix. "From Electro-House (Original), Dubstep (Lazy Ants) to NuTechno (Distrakt), Acid-Rave (Gooseflesh) to Cut-Up House (LaClopeAuBec) and pumping Bassline-Rave (Noize Generation) you'll find a variety of styles."

Here is a little extra we are taking the liberty to post, just for your enjoyment.

Tragic Magic Rabbit

We've all known about Swedish Miike Snow's track "The Rabbit" for a while now, but a new video for the Stuart Price remix has been released and it's just hilarious. You can thank Swedish director Andreas Nilsson for the style. Not only does it have Eric Wareheim like video coloring but also the 2 Live Crew (from Me So Horny fame), crossbows, and women dancing with a small child rockin' a full beard. What's not to love? Here's the video, along with the Stuart Price remix and the original song. And because I'll never leave you empty handed, I'm including my favorite "Animal" remix by Punks Jump Up and a super ravey remix of Silvia by Robotberget (Might be a little too much trance for some, but I can dig it).

Miike Snow - The Rabbit (Stuart Price Remix) (128 kbps)
Miike Snow - The Rabbit (320 kbps)
Miike Snow - Animal (Punks Jump Up Remix) (192 kbps)
Miike Snow - Silvia (Robotberget Remix) (320 kbps)

What We've Been Waiting For:
For those of you waiting for this track to come out in better quality than we posted before, here it is.

Shaved Monkeys Get Rough EP Out Now!

I have been waiting for this EP to drop for a while now, and I am very happy to hear the full version of Get Rough by the trio from Belgium and its remixes. Shaved Monkeys is Dieter Haeck, Gregory Messine and Pieter Machtelinckx. The EP was released on June 1st through Crux Records from New York. This label has worked with names such as DJ Antention, Blatta & Inesha, Gigi Barrocco among many others, so we will definitely keep an eye on them.

Below is the EP's full track list; besides the superb original I say that the Distrakt and the Aerotronic remixes are the harder ones, not to say the others lack anything.

Here is the Original Mix in case you also thought it was epic and a Proxy remix I have been waiting to post:

Don't you think this would have been a great contribution to the EP?

Sounds from Mother Russia

*If you are a reader of this blog you might be under the impression that only two people post on it. You dear sir or madam would be fucking wrong, it so happens that the third one is a PC owner and consequently constantly crippled. (disclaimer over).

Assuming you are an educated fellow, I don't need to tell you who Proxy is, you probably guessed by the title that his name was bound to come up in this article. (if you don't, take a second to go here: mybadidontknowwhoproxyis... done? yes? ok, you should be excited by now to have discovered Raven). Proxy is preparing to release his debut LP sometime 2010, and this post is about giving you guys a sneak peak of what it will be like. One, Two...DESTROY!!!!

Wow. Just wow. Looking past the worries of Bob over extending himself with all these projects (Death Crew 77, Rifoki, the Bloody Beetroots), Bob and Tommy are embarking on another awesome collaboration with Australian Aston Shuffle to create DESTROY! Needless to say we here at Noise Trade are excited. I personally love the Death Crew 77 project that has been sweeping across the world. The shows look amazing, just check out any video on vimeo (especially the cool vibes from from their show with Something Al A Mode). But this new project? Just great move, Bob. Fantastically done. I can't wait to get some singles from these dudes but here's a mix involving the two groups just to get yourself ready. I've also added another Bloody Beetroots remix of Proxy's Vibrate which is 'illn. The cowbell is just phenomenal. Can't wait to pick it up from Beatport once it's released.

Destroy: Mixed By The Bloody Beetroots (202 kbps)
Proxy - Vibrate (The Bloody Beetroots Remix) (128 kbps)

And if you're in L.A. and aren't going to this show, then what the hell? Do you see the line-up? I will take you not going as a personal insult.

Bonus:
Hahahaha. Hilarious.

Dada Life - Cookies with a Smile (192 kbps)
Duck Sauce - Barbara Streisand (O-God Remix) (320 kbps)
