This may be old news to most of yall but I finally got around to listening to the Stereoheroes' new EP "Exiles" out on Freakz Me Out Records and it straight crushes. It's particularly epic in regards to the fact that I haven't heard anything like this stuff from these boys since I first got into them. Regardless of that, this EP is chock full of songs that will push people off the ground and something I couldn't just let slip by. All the originals are tight with Nighthawk and Longshot putting it down hard enough to make them my favorite tracks of the whole release. This is not to say that Blatta & Inesha's touch on Nighthawk or Le Castle Vania's remix of Wildchild should be ignored. And that's the best part of this EP: It's all good. So check it out below. They put the whole thing up on soundcloud for preview before you go on over to Beatport to pick it up, which I recommend you do. Dropping these tracks in a set will make people go fucking nuts.
Boxon Records is a French label I've loved for some time now. With a collective of artists including Gooseflesh, Tom Deluxx, Dilemn, Eclier, The Boomzers, Costello and remixers including Toxic Avenger, Les Petits Pilous, Cyberpunkers, Belzebass, Saint Pauli, aUtOdiDakT and many others, it is easy to see why this Bordeaux based label holds a special place in my heart.
However, over the past few months, with a the string of great releases, Boxon Recs has popped up on my radar as one of the most interesting and exciting music label around. Dilemn's Better Worlds LP is at the top of my list for BEST ALBUMS of the year. The Boomzers, Rowentah EP is absolutely stuffed full of bangers and T.Raumschmiere's brand new The Rave is On EP is no different. If you aren't yet acquainted with Boxon or you're just excited to see what the future holds for the label, please check out the following.
Makes Me Bloody is the third compilation album from Boxon Records. They brought it hard with 1 & 2 but 3 is lining up to be an absolute stomper. It is definitely the best teaser video I have seen since Q.G.'s zombie rave or Huoratron's Corporate Occult madness from Cedric Blaisbios. As I said before, Dilemn's new album Better Worlds is easily the best album to come out so far this year. Ed Banger artists promising new LPs like SebastiAn, Justice and Mr. Oizo will have their work cut out for them if they are hoping to dethrone Dilemn's masterpiece debut LP from top spot at album of the year. The album has elements of Electro, House and Dubstep/Electrostep that come together to to produce 52 minutes of bangin' beats. The album is so diverse it's really hard to describe without going track by track but roughly it sounds like Daft Punk meets Toxic Avenger meets Skrillex with a dash of Mr. Oizo and Phantoms Revenge. The latest offering from Boxon Records, The Rave Is On EP by T.Raumschmiere is a destroyer. The legendary German Techno/punk producer drops three new huge tracks and shockingly, their all super Ravey. Also with fantastic remixes from Fukkk Offf, Pro7, Thomas Brinkmann and Dilemn. Fresh Foolish is a duo from Northern Italy and like many other talented producers from the greater Milan area, Fresh Foolish bangs. This past weekend foolish fresh dropped two tracks that I absolutely love. The first is an original track titled "Awake", I've only heard the preview but it absolutely destroys. "Awake" is coming out soon on Shake Your Ass Records, which probably means awesome remixes as well, I'm very excited. The second track they recently released is a remix of Asian Trash Boys track "Whisper", which crushes as well. Check out their bio below and keep a very sharp eye on this duo, I expect HUGE things.
The project Fresh Foolish was created by Emmanuel and Shaki two DJ / Producers from Milan and Bergamo, they comes from different music scenes ranging from Punk / Hardcore music to club fidget-electro, dubstep and maximal. The name FRESH FOOLISH was designed thinking and researching about showed that there was a sound that is distinctly different, having a footprint at the same time fresh, simple and destructive also. After playing in some of the best club of Italy for the prestige and beauty, have released their first EP in collaboration with Sophia B (aka A Girl and A Gun) and with remixes of some of the most talented young people emerging from the underground worldwide scene, have signed some excellent remixes, are preparing to launch their second EP directly on CRUX Records, one of the best indie label in the world with monster excellent remixers!
Okay so good friends of the blog Aerotronic sent us their mix for Oh! My God It's Techno Music, UK based label, artist promoter and overpriced clothing company. Just kidding OMGITM, I mean your clothes are overpriced but still very cool and you should definitely buy some if you have the cash, want to support a tight label and look gangsta on the dancefloor at the same time. Enough about OMGITM though lets talk about the fantastic Belgium trio Aerotronic. They sent us this mix a week or maybe more ago and while the whole world blogged it we slept on it. Don't ask me why, this mix is currently the only CD in my car because it basically my top electro hits list for this and last month plus a bunch of unreleased exclusives all mixed together flawlessly. I definitely suggest you grab the full mix and listen to it all day and all night. If you think you are too cool for that then at least you have to check out Shinichi Osawa and more bangin Belgians, the Subs' new track "Bring Back That Noise" as well as Aerotronic's unreleased remix of Italians, The Boomzers unreleased track "WTF" on Aerotronic's soundcloud or below.
Bonus- I seriously don't think I can wait for The Boomzers' DEBUT, DEBUT, DEBUT EP "WTF". If Aerotronic's mix is any indication, this EP is going to be seriously dope and with remixes by the likes of Ikki, Haezer, and Underhall as well as the original I can't foresee this being anything less than a MONSTER! In the meanwhile get you can get yourself acquainted with the fabulous Italian duo known as The Boomzers below or by heading over to their souncloud and myspace.
It's not everyday I get to talk about producers from South Korea but I am happy to bring you guys some crazy fools from the very spot, rocking super hard. I'm surprised I haven't heard of these guys before because these two are epic beyond belief. I checked out their remix of "To Protect and Entertain" without many expectations and was just blown away. So nasty and for some reason incredibly fresh for coming from an underlying song I've heard played over and over again. Needless to say, I checked the boys out and the guys really know how to create some hard dance music. So if you're in the same boat as I was, woefully unaware such great stuff was being created, then I have your medicine. TheRiotz have remixed up some really well known songs (which can mostly be found at their soundcloud) and have released an epic EP by the name of "Doomsday" off of the South Korean record label Wet Shake. I highly recommend you grab the EP if you've got the cash (you can preview it on their myspace). It holds three original songs that are so crunchy, so gracious, they'll have your head rocking within seconds of hitting the play button. If you need some convincing grab the remix I was talking about along with a great remix of Laidback Luke's "Chake it Down". And if that doesn't do it for you, then listen to their most recent remix of Fckn Crew's "Discoke". All I can really say is that I can't wait to hear more.
It seems that I can't check Shake Your Ass Records' line-up without finding something new and extremely impressive. SYAR's taste for music is consolidated and very, very, very agreeable with our own here at TCHNCRCY Music. This time we won't overload you with too many different acts to follow, but we will definitely show you something that will make you want to punch a nun in the face (that should mean it is good music right?).
Did you watch the video?? no? OK, do it! and do it loudly. That is just a sneak peak into what his Killer King EP will sound like, sorry no news on when it is actually coming out, but it sounded so sick I couldn't resist (saying it sounds like Kavinsky's angry brother gets only half the idea behind the sound of this preview). Last time I was so pumped by a teaser was when Huoratron put out his Corporate Occult teaser...and that is saying something. Check this Italian fellow out, and follow us or his myspace for more news on this killer EP.
This kid is from France and I had heard from him a while back, but recently saw his name in SYAR's page so i knew I had to finally put this guy up here... it has been long enough. Sure the name is interesting, but FUCK does he deliver where it counts. Very hard, fast and dirty. He has actually worked before with different labels (Erase records and others), but recently collaborated with SYAR through a remix of the well known track Broken Symphony by Belzebass and the 'S'.
Yet again, MORE people from Italy that just happen to make awesome music. The Boomzers are no exception, and I recommend them to you. Also, very important is that SYAR newest production after The Mastertron's Fat Man EP (glorious) and the above mentioned Broken Symphony EP (also in a warm place in a little chest in my heart) will be an EP by the 'S' titled Legend (check our previous post on SYAR if you got curious HERE).
