Mustard Pimp's New Album: No Title or Purpose. OUT NOW!

Mustard Pimp's new album 'No Title or Purpose' was released yesterday, October 25th, on all major online music stores, through infamous Dim Mak Records. I recommend you take your time to listen to the tracks below and then click here to purchase. The link is for the Deluxe version, which has all the previously released remixes for Money Shot, Catch Me, and ZHM, which if you don't have you should most definitely get NOW!

The album features some great and interesting collaborations with Blatta & Inesha, Dirtyphonics, Chali 2na, Alec Empire and many others. There is definitely something for everyone in Mustard Pimp's latest production, some might even go as far as categorizing some tracks as dubstep or hip hop, all of course imbued with the duo's own sound and aggressiveness. There is definitely a heavier use of vocals than in their previous productions, which to some might not be ideal. But where 'Wide Eyes' might be a new genre in which the duo is tapping, there are still tracks like 'Radio Techno Allah' that remind me of the first time I heard 'Gold'. Overall, it is great album and if you like Mustard Pimp you will not be disappointed. Enjoy the tracks!

As a little bonus, check out one my favorite tracks of this year as well as a great video. A video, which by the way, is receiving a lot of extra attention in light of the similarities it has with Duck Sauce's video released the same day as 'No Title or Purpose.'

Mustard Pimp and DJ Antention, you already know this is going to be a track to get violent to.

Unreleased "Skrillex - Equinox" GREAT SOUND AND VID QUALITY. Uploaded by MrShsball

I'm definitely still nursing a devastating hangover from the mayhem that was this years SXSW. However I'm going to bare the brightness of my computer screen to bring you this final SXSW story.
Last night Dim Mak Records through a SXSW send off party at Republic Live in Austin. The event featured killer sets from the likes of Felix Cartal, Mustard Pimp, Steve Aoki, Peacetreaty and massive surprise guests SKRILLEX AND 12TH PLANET. I really take my hat off to Sonny Moore (Skrillex) and 12th Planet for showing us fans love and playing such and awesome set for absolutely no compensation (they weren't getting paid, 'cause they weren't actually booked). After a long festival, during which both artists played almost every night I don't know how they found the energy to make it out and play till 5AM for no charge at all!!! Thank you guys, you killed it.
Mustard Pimp played a bangin' set, dropping gems like the brand new Money Shot and their remix of Wake Up Call by Steve Aoki and Sidney Samson, featured in the video above. Felix Cartal also fucking killed it, dropping all my favorite new and old tracks, such as Montreal Dreams, featured above. Sorry the sound in the video kinda clips, the filmer got it the best it possibly could be I promise. I don't think I have ever heard such a small club bump it so hard, I felt like someone shot an 50- caliber M-60 next to my head all night when I got out.
Also, in all the above videos you can see your's truly, me, Space Cadet, liquored up and raging. On the Mustard Pimp vid I'm in the bottom right of the screen and Felix Cartal I'm in the bottom left. I am the one doing a lot of crazy double fist pumping and all kinds of weird shit, LOL. You can't really see me in the Skrillex + 12th Planet vid because I'm in the front but I remember vaguely getting my lighter up first, cause I was smoking a cig, so thats me.
SKRILLEX + 12TH PLANET (photo by me, that why it sucks)
Aoki took the stage over from Felix Cartal at 1:40 and played till about 3:20. Despite some mixed feelings I harbor for Aoki live, last night he killed it. During his Lion King vs. Rage Against The Machine outro (LOL), Skrillex and 12th Planet appeared and the crowd went MAD. Skrillex and 12th Planet took turns on the decks and blew everyones mind dropping tons of new and/or unreleased bangers. They played out SXSW till the wee hour of the morning, only finishing this phenomenal set at 5AM.
Check out some tracks from the duo of Skrillex and 12th Planet below. Enjoy!

Skrillex and 12th Planet - Needed Change
Skrillex - All I Ask of You feat Penny (Original Mix)

German Electro House phenom Zedd has been featured on a few of Skrillex's EP now. He recently released a fantastic remix which takes you on an 8-bit trip down memory lane. Zedd's remix of The Legend of Zelda theme song lays a bangin' electro punch on top of the classic 8-bit lead. Check it out below along with his work for Skrillex.

DFA 1979's 1st Reunion So Massive it Sparks Riot at SXSW

I can't even begin to describe how fucking crazy last night's Undocumented Management party at the Beauty Bar in Austin, TX was in full detail! But here is a shot at a little summary of events.

The night started off super well with superb sets from Felix Cartal, Harvard Bass, Bird Peterson and Run DMT. Then the "secret guest" took the stage, Toronto duo Death From Above 1979. Earlier that day DFA 1979 had announced via Twitter that they would be playing their first gig after an nearly a six years hiatus. Needless to say the crowd inside and outside of the venue where amped for the triumphant return of DFA. The small venue had around 200 people tightly packed into a space parking lot and the alley directly adjacent had upwards of 500.

About 20 minutes into the set the fans in the alley who had been banging on the fence and ripping down bushes desperately trying to get a view of the newly reunited DFA managed to completely tear down the fence. Austin PD on the premisses greeted the fans in the ally with tasers and industrial strength mace to prevent anyone in the alley from sneaking in (See Fence Come Down + Cops Tasers and Mace on Video). The kids in the front who got hit super hard were vomiting and convulsing on the ground with their teary eyes swollen shut from the mace.
There was a short intermission while the fence was tied back up and then the music and the mayhem started once again. Approximately 30 minutes after the fence came down Austin riot police brought four cars to block the alley and marched six horses through in an attempt to disperse the crowd. However, the spectacle only attracted more followers. The swelling crowd throwing insults, cans, cups and bottles at the cops would repeatedly push back to the fence as the horses finished their pass through the ally. Eventually cops on foot started making arrests clubbing and handcuffing fans who had thrown plastic cups or verbally assaulted the officers. After the arrests were made the police dispersed and the party outside continued on till the show eventually ended around 2:30.
All in all I can say this is one of the most memorable shows of my life and will go down in history as the savage return of dance-punk legends Death From Above. Please check out the videos of my favs from last night above and check out almost the entire DFA 1979 reunion set on Youtube.

I also got the chance to speak with JFK, Sebastian Grainger and Al-P (other half of MSTRKRFT) who was in attendance. They are all the nicest friendliest guys on earth and they all nodded at the notion that new DFA 1979 and MSTRKRFT is coming soon, along with a potential DFA 1979 cover of MSTRKRFT's new single Beards Again. Sooooooooo Sick!
UPDATE: Told you so, check out  a new MSTRKRFT track down below.
MSTRKRFT - Back In The USSA

BonusBonusBonusBonusBonusBonusBonusBonus
Felix Cartal absolutely killed it last night, bringing his massive sound super hard and getting a crowd that seemed mostly interested in DFA to bounce. I also got the chance to have a quick conversation with Taelor (Felix Cartal), who very graciously accepted my many praises.
If you are lucky enough to be in Austin tonight I highly recommend that you swing by the Dim Mak Party @ Republic tonight. The line-up features Felix Cartal, Mustard Pimp, Steve Aoki, Blaqstarr, Peacetreaty, Rob Roy, RAC and more.
If you couldn't make it to SXSW console yourself with this new banger Felix Cartal just released for the upcoming Mortal Kombat Album Executive Produced by none other than JFK himself. Enjoy!

Crux Records Says Bombs Away w/ Blatta & Inesha's My Lady Don't Mind EP

What says pin up girls and bombs better than a B-17, Crux Records is here to tell you that Blatta & Inesha's new EP "My Lady Don't Mind" does. The EP features two tracks, My Lady Don't Mind (A-side) and Daddy's Home (B-side), plus a very special bonus banger Walk & Talk. Both are sick but the EP still comes packing more serious heat with remixes from Modek, Gooseflesh, and 2 Guys in Venice. The EP is out May 2 and will be available through all the usual digital outlets, I imagine. Check out Modek's remix of "My Lady Don't Mind" and Gooseflesh's mix of "Daddy's Home", watch out they are both 50 megaton bangers (like the Tsar Bomba muther fucker).

Whatever you do, just don't miss it.  And as a bonus, the boys have given us Italian Doc Trashz's remix for free just to get their hooks into you. More Mustard Pimp Please

For over a week now I have been meaning to share some tracks with you (as usual in case you haven't already) but couldn't think of a "reason" to. However, after coming to my senses I realized that "they are fucking sick tracks" is a pretty good reason. Besides, how can you have enough Mustard Pimp posts? Having said that, here are some tracks Mustard Pimp put out since their outstanding release: Rock Paper Scissors EP. They are all under a month old and reflect the direction they are taking as well as their harder characterizing sound:

Designer Drugs - Riot (Mustard Pimp Remix) by mustard pimp

Fischerspooner - Infidels Of The World Unite (Mustard Pimp Remix) by mustard pimp

Bonus: A little trivia

With all the Crux Records releases posted on this blog it is worth mentioning that Mustard Pimp's debut single "Oh La La Satan" was released under the NY label back in 2008. Doesn't that make you want to follow Crux Records a little closer?
The French duo, Baron and eKa, come from very different backgrounds. Baron was a Dj that played acid and techno music, while eKa was a guitarist in a Metal band (check out the Mayhem t-shirt). This duo proved to be great and successful at combining the best of both worlds; the resulting sound was sought by many. We can see the moment at which theses two sides were perfectly matched in a track after which their second EP was named. Released all the way back in that remote and bizarre time that 2008 was, I cannot hype this track enough. Sorry if I am being redundant, but if you haven't, you MUST listen to Mustard Pimp's tribute to Slayer for which words like hard, banger, huge and massive seem to be too short:

Mustard Pimp-Raging Blood (320kbps)************(timeless, in my top 3 Mustard Pimp tracks for sure)

Oh yeah, the other three tracks on the Raging Blood EP (Idiot House Records) are close competitors to this one, so if you are not familiar with them and want some more new-old music check them out in Beatport.

Geometry + Mashed Paper Klub + Trashing Teenagers

Who's down to die tonight?! I've got three killer duos for you guys that'll really lay into your head. This is hard electro at its finest with some dirty dirty distortion and heavy bass. I know you're going to love it.

First up I've got two French DJs representing Bordeaux in a big way. The dudes are unsigned which after you check out some of their tracks you'll be scratching your head why just like I am. So here is Geometry, coming out with some devastating tunes to rock your skull. I first came on them when they remixed the previously mentioned "The Parachute Ending" by Birdy Nam Nam (aided by TCHNCRCY favorites Justice). Then I checked out "Triggernometry" and I was in love. I've got both of these tracks plus two others, all of which are worth checking out, if only the clean your ears out. Keep it up boys.

Geometry Feat. A Girl and a Gun - Triggernometry (128 kbps)****
Birdy Nam Nam - The Parachute Ending (Geometry Remix) (320 kbps)***
Geometry - NERD! (320 kbps)
Illstm - Moctezuma (Geometry remix) (320 kbps)***

Next up, I have my first Belgian duo, Mashed Paper Klub, owners of indie label Mashed Paper Rec. I put up a track of theirs about a week ago but didn't have much time to go into much detail. These boys from Brussels love that heavy theatrical sound, which I first heard from their first EP, "Deus Ex Machina". It just drew me in. Then they go ahead and drop another promo EP and then let loose yet another promo with their buddy Wazabi called "Optimus". All the work is just straight evil and better yet, all of it is available to the public which is just hands down fucking awesome (links to all three promos above). You can grab my favorite track off the first promo at the old post, and then the best off the other two below. Then I figured why not throw in some banging remixes they've done of some well known tracks. Swoop the first two at least and then come back for the others when you realize how dirty these fools are.

Verdi & Blockhe4d - Dies Cretin (Mashed Paper Klub live version) (320 kbps)***
Wazabi - Optimus (Mashed Paper Klub Remix)****
Don Rimini - Hools (Mashed Paper Klub feat. Floating remix) (320 kbps)
Mustard Pimp - Rer D (Mashed Paper Klub feat. Floating "Erreur D" remix)

Finally, I have another Belgian duo that are just as grimy as their picture. Thrashing Teenagers is another Belgian duo that are ripping up the airwaves with some heavy distortion. "Cubes" has been one of my favorite songs for the past couple weeks and those of you who dig on that hard electro sound will be all about "Unleash Hell" and "Supernova". It's all good with these boys and I look forward to hearing more of their work. If those tracks aren't enough for you, check out the work they did for Neus's remix competition. Now get crazy, everyone.

Trashing Teenagers - Cubes (Original Mix) (320 kbps)*****
Trashing Teenagers - Supernova (Original Mix) (320 kbps)***
Trashing Teenagers feat. A Girl and a Gun - Unleash Hell (Original Mix) (320 kbps)
NEUS - Blast! (Trashing Teenagers Remix) by TrashingTeenagers?!

Don't Be Skur'd, It's Just a Bassline

No real rhyme, reason, message or theme in this post only a shit load of the hardest, heaviest and most aggressive music that has been released lately. This post crosses genres, reaching from electro to dubstep to rock to hip-hop to 8-bit. Regardless, there is one thing all of these tracks have in common, they are guaranteed to get your feet stomping, fists pumpin, head bobbing and you skin sweating.

On Dillon Francis' Myspace, right below the "About Dillon Francis" section it reads, "Daft Punk is all about making love, and I am all about fucking." Well that shit always cracks me the fuck up when I read it! But more recently as I was going thru Tokyo Dubstep demon, Ajapai's new EP "Mobilized" all I could think was... IF DAFT PUNK IS LOVE MAKING, DILLON FRANCIS IS FUCKING THEN AJAPAI IS DEFINITELY PRISON SHOWER RAPE! And even more than that Ajapai is probably Transformers raping each other in Cybertrons State Correctional Facility.

But Seriously this shit is ridiculously heavy and scary; it's so dark and distorted that I think even the harder dubstep artists don't really give Ajapai the respect he deserves. This is evident in the fact the more hard electro/house/tech guys like Mustard Pimp and Cypberpunkers are giving him airplay than dudes like Borgore, Bassnectar and Doctor P who I would expect to rep his shit all the time. Check out Warning from his latest EP "Mobilized", which if you are not too scared you can grab on beatport right here. I also through up some of his older tracks, one being his widely blog and loved original smasher titled, "What Do You Hear?". The second track is taken of the "Kiwi & Cherry Remix EP" by Mustard Pimp that was put out on Dim Mak Records, If you don't own this full Remix EP I STRONGLY, STRONGLY suggest that you run out and pick it up here on beatport. The Remixes from Blata & Inesha, Ikki, Gigi Barocco, Gtronic, and Chewy Chocolate Cookies absolutely dominate and are must have for any fan of the above names. But for now Enjoy Ajapai!

Ajapai - Warning
Ajapai - What Do You Hear?
Mustard Pimp - Cherry (Ajapai Remix)

Everyting about Huoratron is fucking terrifying! From his mugshot, in which he looks staight up like a 70's Hells Angel with shaved head and a super thick beard, to his media, from music videos to teasers to album covers to the music itself. Huoratron is one hectic dude. But aside from giving me the heebie jeebies, Huoratron also commands the utmost respect from me as being one of the pioneers in synthesizing metal with heavy electro and 8-bit. Huoratron blends these three genres which all of us here at TCHNCRCY know and love and to create driving, gut wrenching sounds that either make you want to dance till sun up (which can be a long time in Huoratron's native Finland) or straight up destroy something.

He recently dropped his new EP "Prevenge" on Last Gang Records. The EP features two completely new chunes, one titled "Prevenge" and the other "Trolls". Both dominate equally but I decided to post the title track in the interests of promotional name recognition. Also, the "Pevenge - EP" includes the four tracks form his previous release on New Judas, "Corporate Occult", however these tracks sound minimally remaster and slightly crisper to me (though it might be my imagination). However my favorite track on the EP is definitely "Troopers" which is a remix/re-edit of my Huorotron virginity taker "$$ Troopers" which dropped way back in '08. The "Prevenge - EP" is an amazing little collection of audio destruction and terror and I definitely recommend that you pick it up right here. I also recommend you check out his remix of Hermanos Inglesos' track Take Me Down, off the "Take Me Down - EP" which, if you like, I highly recommend you grab the full thing here as the Jan Driver and Original Mixes are very, very good and maybe even slightly better.

Huoratron - Prevenge
Hermanos Inglesos - Take Me Down (Huoratron Remix)

While LONDON DUBSTEP GODFATHER Skream's new LP might be the least aggressive release on this post, it is still choc full of bangin' basslines, melodic leads and the occasional 8-Bit/Chiptune bleep and chime. Regardless of a more laid back melodic overarching theme of the album which you can see on tracks like "Where You Should Be", "Reflections", "A Song For Lenny" and "Fields of Emotion". However this album still can pack quite a punch with tracks Like my favorites "Wibbler" and others like the Dn'B influenced "The Last Epic Song" or the Ravey track "I Love The Way" which if you liked his "In For the Kill" Remix you should dig. But the thing I liked most about this album was his extensive use of 8-bit and chiptune samples. Tracks like "Listen' To The Records on My Wall" and "CPU" are a complete departure from Skream's more organic and Jamacian dub influenced style, a unnecessary but very welcome change. If you dig on Unicorn Kid's track "Dreamcatcher" Check out the previously mentioned 8-bit curious tracks. Grab my two favorite tracks off the album "Wibbler" and Skream's colab with L.A. rapper Murs titled, "8-Bit Baby" and hopefully they will tide you over until the full LP drops over at your favorite music distributer on August 8th. I promise, "Outside the Box" will not dissapoint unless you don't keep an open mind an realize it's not a photocopy of Skream's earlier productions.

Skream - Wibbler
Skream feat. Murs - 8-Bit Baby

Diplo & Lil' Jon just dropped a new grindin' dubstep chune titled "U Don't Like Me". As you can probably guess from the album cover this track definitely doesn't spread the peace and love. However if you down for some solid dub beats from record head/all around busy man Diplo, mixed up with some super agro Crunk rappin' from Lil' Jon, then I definitely recommend grabbing this brand new release below and jumping over to iTunes to grab the rest of this release. The South Rakkas Crew Remix is very, very sick and if you are not a fan of Lil' Jon but like the beat you can also grab an Instrumental Version. I also have Don Diablo's Dubstep Remix of his colaboration between himself and Diplo titled "Make You Pop". I like (but am not crazy about the mix) but the original track is sure to be an absolute destroyer when it drops, so keep an eye out for this one and hear a little preview of the original from what looks like a banger set from the Don @ Extrema Outdoor 2010. In other Mad Decent news, their Mad Decent Block Party is once again returning to the streets of Philly, NY, LA, and Chi-Town. I you are lucky enough to live in one of these fine cities head over to the above link and let Diplo himself convince you to send off your summer right with a free and fatty party in the street.

Lil' Jon - U Don't Like Me (Prod. Diplo)
Diplo & Don Diablo - Make You Pop (Don Diablo Dubstep Remix)

Bonus- Thank you for weeding through all my bullshit! Check out Bart B More's absolutely filthy new track "Brap" in 192 kbps, out now on Boys Noize Records. And swing over to beatport to grab the track in 320 kbps because every DJ needs this gem in his arsenal.

F♥♥KIN' LYON

I swear to god that they are putting something in the water in the regions of Northern Italy and Southern France. The music scenes centered around the cites of Lyon and Milan are absolutely phenomenal and include many of my favorite artists who are yet to garner the mainstream exposure, or at least blogosphere love that they deserve. Tonight we put the spotlight on 2 producers from Lyon that are currently blowing minds and not getting enough credit. Enjoy.

F♥♥KIN TELMINI
F♥♥KIN TELMINI is Thomas Ouf, an interior design student with a penchant for combining bangin' beats and silky smooth rhythms. The producer hailing from Lyon has just dropped some newish material that absolutely floored me. If you don't know the name TELMINI, now you do and don't forget it. Also check out fabulous Frenchies Digital Cosmic Disco who do a remix of a TELMINI track that starts a little slow but wait for it... BANG!

F♥♥KIN TELMINI - Les Petit Crew National Anthem (Digital Cosmic Disco Remix) **** Don't give up, I know the intro is strange. Trust me, it fucking bangs.
F♥♥KIN TELMINI X Discobeatnikk - GunpeiNES (RMX) **THE HARD AND THE SOFT (Discobeatnikk is better known as Fever 105, in case you couldn't find him)
Darkacide - Teddy Bear (F♥♥KIN TELMINI Remix) **

Sawgood
Sawgood epitomizes the type of music we love here at Technocracy. The first time I heard of him was from his colab with Gigi Barocco on the track Blowin' Up and have kept an eye on him ever since. He consistently delivers by producing the best beats, remixing fantastic songs to further greatness and when he does the illest artist and producers in the biz are quick to rush to work with him or remix his work. Check out everything below because it is all maximum greatness but especially check his new Remix of the Toxic Avenger and Orelsan track they recently released as well as a teaser for his remix of the soon to be released track Grand Slam by the bangin' Deutschlanders Disco Trash Music. Grab the teaser for the whole Grand Slam EP dropping on June 28th. Pleeeeaazzzz come to L.A. Sawgood, we love you so.

Sawgood - What That Fake***** My favorite original Sawgood track
Aerotronic - Sex & Cigarettes (Sawgood & DJ Antention Remix) *** From the Sex & Cigs EP out now on Mähthrasher (a sub-label of our friends Traktor Records).

Mustard Pimp
Okay, so maybe Mustard Pimp isn't from Lyon, in fact they hail from L.A. by way of the suburb of Paris named Melun. So they are French, huge surprise right. Whatever, there are way to many amazing french producers to say this is a best of France post so all I'm gonna say is that I've loved Mustard Pimp forever, since I heard Gold and seeing them last week at Arena was simply amazing. Let me start off by saying I probably listen to Rock, Paper, Scissors three times a day since it dropped and it is a must have. When I heard Rock at Arena I almost fell out of the upstairs bar area I was fist pumping so hard, also I was very drunk, yeah! It's a cool idea calling the EP Rock, Paper, Scissors because Rock is definitely the hardest and Scissors is all choppy and cut up; can't tell you why Paper is Paper, but I like it anyway. Enjoy the new album posted in 128 so that you go and buy the motherfucker in real sexy quality. Also grab some of my favorite remixes by the Pimps of Mustard, all of which they played at Arena. Jealous, you should be bitch.

Mustard Pimp & Hot Pink Delorian - Rock ***** Illness, thanks for rocking L.A. boys.
Kylesa - Scapegoat (Mustard Pimp Remix) ***** One thousand stars! Amazing song so worth pulling an all nighter parting to hear.
Shinichi Osawa - EEAA (Mustard Pimp Remix) **** Oldy but a Goody also make sure you have MP's Remix of The Willowz track I Know. It definitely has 5 stars in my book and you should grab it here.

B.O.N.U.S. - New shit that is just too good not to post immediately.

LCD Soundsystem - You Wanted A Hit (Soulwax Remix) *****Soulwax, the undisputed Kings of Remix
Gyptian - Hold Yuh (Major Lazer Remix) *** Parts sound to me like the drums and the lead are slightly mistimed but still a very solid summer party jam.

So Good! Whose Remix is This?

I guess the only thing these tracks have in common is that you have to listen to them if you haven't already. It has been a while since we mentioned Designer Drugs and their remix of We Never Close Our Eyes by Scanners is so good that it is necessary to post it. The vocals make for a very nice build up before the track drops on you. Next, Mustard Pimp's remix of I Know by The Willowz is also great, but you should decide for yourself (watch out for their Rock Paper Scissors Ep, we will keep you posted). And to wrap it up you should give Aeroplane's (a duo originally from Belgium with Eskimo Records) remix of Baby I'm Yours (we know is a Breakbot track right?) some attention; and keep in mind how big of a challenge it is to remix an already great track without making you feel like you wish you were listening to the original.

Scanners-We Never Close Our Eyes (Designer Drugs Remix) (192kbps)

The Willowz-I Know (Mustard Pimp Remix) (320kbps)----just give it a sec it will get there.
Breakbot-Baby I'm Yours (Aeroplane Remix) (192kbps)----thanks to technocolorkids for putting it up.

Bonus:

The KRFTKDS put this up a few days ago; I am always ready for more tracks like this one:

THE BLISTERS BOYZ - SCREAM ( KRFTKDS REMIX ) by krftkds
