Check Out These Motherfuckers: Realboy

The city of Los Angeles has produced yet another great DJ duo and I love it. It's disheartening writing all the time about European producers and I'm all about giving it up for people from the home country. Realboy makes some groovy ass tunes with some great distortion all mixed reminiscent of TCHNCRCY favorite Justice's style.  They recently have been getting a lot of press due to their track "The Ritz", an ill song with an awesome slap bassline to roll right along with a powerhouse snyth. So I went out and found their blog, which has a slew of original bangers up for download. I've been meaning to do this post for a while now but due to computer troubles only now have been able to get them up. It should be worth the wait. All the songs are incredibly well constructed and garner at least the few minutes it'll take to check them out. "Steppin" is a filthy wobble session and "Chop Genre" provides some great crossovers from dub to fidget to hard electro, my favorite kinds of music. The boys are currently unsigned, which I expect to be short lived from how well "The Ritz" is doing. You should grab the tunes and keep your ears to the pavement for more rockin shit coming out from these two.
