Mähtrasher Records Presents: DJ Antention's "Go" EP

A few days ago Russian heavy bass king DJ Antention dropped his EP "Go" on Mähtrasher Records and I immediately purchased the whole thing on Beatport. Trust me friends, this is $16 well spent. DJ Antention dropped two new original tracks that floored me, the title track "Go" is phenomenal and unlike most two sided EPs today the second track "We Are Brooklyn" is equally filthy. Also Mähtrasher brought on a ridiculously talented crew to remix the title track "Go" including The Mastertrons, Super Super, Aerotronic, Ikki, Bigger & Bolder, and Frag Maddin. All in all this was another fantastic release from the upstart Traktor Records sublable Mähtrasher. When DJ/Producer aUtOdiDakT and owner of Traktor/Mähtrasher Records gave us the green light to post a few of the songs off Antention's new EP, I couldn't get this post up fast enough. Don't believe me check out some Artist reviews and support of the new EP and grab original mix of DJ Antention's Giant track "Go" below.
Edu K: best track: Dj Antention - Go (Aerotronic Remix)fuck! crazy bunch of trax! remixes are killin' it!!!! lovin' Mähtrasher right now! 10/10 *Summing up my opinion exactly, thnx Edu K!
aUtOdiDakT: Antention is built to last and Go is his masterpiece yet! 10/10
Brian Lindsay: HOLY SH@T! This track just knocked me on my ass! This track is going straight in my charts and getting massive support from me! 9/10
The Mastertrons: Great EP! 100% ;)
And others like: Cyberpunkers, Distrakt, Gtronic, Hostage, Larry Tee, Markus Lange an Zero Cash! give the go EP 2 Thumbs up.

Mähtrasher Records is not one you want to take your eye off. With three massive releases in the bag including this "Go" EP, Aerotronic's EP "Sex & Cigarettes" (Grab Sawgood/Antention Mix here) and the new Beatport exclusive release "Dr. Manhatan" EP by Markus Lange and Stereofunk (a must have for Bloody Beetroots fans, SERIOUSLY), all Mähtrasher releases can be purchased on beatport here. Mähtrasher is showing no signs of slowing down. Mähtrasher is releasing The Mastertrons' EP titled "Revenge Is Comming" on July 29th. Looking further ahead there will be EPs from Distrakt, aUtOdiDakT & John Disco (aUtODisco), Noize Generation, Pola-Riot, Rotze and of course another from DJ Antention with guest remixes appearances by The Oddworld, Serial Chillers and the whole Mähtrasher crew remixing each other. In order to satiate your craving for more Mähtrasher chunes grab The Mastertrons Mix of "Go", you won't be disappointed but it might make July 29th seem a lot further away.

B.O.N.U.S - You all should know by now that TCHNCRCY has mad love for the Russian phenom Proxy but Antetion is posing a serious threat to Proxy's reign of heavy bass champion of Russia and maybe the world. Head over to DJ antention website to understand what I mean if you are uncomfortable with that claim. Pay Special attention to his and Sawgood's mix of the Belzebass track "Du Auch!" but everthing is great and a lot is free, very cool of him. Grab some of his free tracks below and hit up the website to check out the rest.
P.S. No offense to Proxy, who I still love and would seriously Destroy a bitch to not miss him at Hard Summer ;).

New Thony Ritz Out July 5th

French DJ and producer Thony Ritz has been on my radar ever since I heard the banging track "Overdrive" and it just so happens that the man is releasing a new album called Night City very soon (July 5th in digital format). Big thanks to Everysong for the clue in. Thony Ritz blew me away with "Overdrive" and ever since I've been loving his style. While "Overdrive" has hard basslines and smashing kick drums, Thony Ritz does not just adhere one style. Check out the video above or the track below of High Future, which has some perfectly swirling synths, crazy modded vocals, and great disco vibes. Dude has skill and I can't wait for the new album to drop. While you're waiting check out the teaser he put out for your pleasure and also grab the two tracks I was talking about. Both are must haves. Now party on and buy the LP when it gets out.

Owl Vision's New Darkmix

Looking for something dark? Like midnight in the back of dive bar with the lights out dark? Like the place you go at the end of that night with that hot girl that's wearing too much make up, tasting like whiskey and sex dark? Well I've got some heavy music by the way of Sweden 's Owl Vision just for you. If you don't already know, Owl Vision dropped a full LP called Leprozy a bit back, unsigned no less, that features some heavy beats, specifically "Darkness". You can pick it up below along with a great remix by Distrakt below, and if you like 'em check the album teaser (And buy that shit!). You might as well check his ill remix of swedish sweetheart Miss Li's "Ba ba ba" while you're at it. But that's not what's new. What's happening is Owl Vision just dropped a brand spanking new mix that is just full of graciously hard drops and distortion. Proxy, The Bloody Beetroots, Huoratron. You name it, it's there. Love the Belzebass remix of Owl Vision's "Fucking Ill" at minute 25. So grab the mix and get evil. (Tracklist after the Jump)

Chilled but not Frozen

A summer day is only as good as its night, and with all the heat rolling out, not everyone is going to feel like going buck wild as the sun sets. I've got some phenomenal mellow tracks to help calm you down before you get hyped out of your mind for this weekend (Specifically EDC). First off I've got a great remix by none other than Ed Banger's Mr. Flash that is just a testament of the Frenchman's ability to produce. So many switches from airy to upbeat to mellow and then back again, all while keeping the song seamless. Then Germany's D.I.M. dropped a remix of Demon's "I Think", a melancholy track that D.I.M. takes even deeper and adds his own fidget touch to keep it interesting. And I've heard a lot of remixes of Kavinsky's "Nightcall", and most of them fall short, usually attempting to become the next Danger. However, recently mentioned 8-bit producer Shirobon has done the exact opposite, departing away from his 8-bit roots, speeding up the sample, adding some hard basslines, and still keeping that Kavinisky vibe rolling through the whole track. I highly recommend you grab these tracks and maybe a drink. It's almost the weekend.

Darwin Deez - Up in the Clouds (Mr. Flash Remix) (320 kbps)*
Demon - I Think (D.I.M. Remix) (160 kbps)
Kavinsky - Nightcall (Shirobon Remix) (320 kbps)***

Bonus Banger:
And here's something to pre-game to.
By no means better than the genuine idol, L.A.'s Religion adds some heavy distortion on Boys Noize & Erol Alkan's almost flawless track. Wait 2 minutes in for the drop.
Erol Alkan ft. Boys Noize - Avalanche (Religion Remix) (320 kbps)

Jack Beats is Back!

Muthafucking JACK BEATS, Cheap As Thrills finest, England's greatest, and creators of the best remix of all time, is putting some new stuff out on their amigo Hervé's label this Monday. Considering this is the first time in months that the duo have released anything, this is great news. I've got half of the new release for you with "Out of Body", a massive track with a fantastic chopped sample and more fidget wobbles than your mind can handle. It and "Revolution", a intoxicating bleep-fest, will be out after this weekend on the Revolution EP, and you should definitely cop that. And if wonder what remix I was referring to, check it out below, preferably with the volume turned way up. Fuck all you golden coast kids that get to see them tonight at EDC. Jealously is a bitch.

ReSet! and R3SET

Who knows when you first heard of ReSet!? It could've been when they got hyped for their massive remix of Cassius's "Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigerettes", you know the same remix that made it into super-group Club 75 Mixmag Mix.  Maybe it was their remix of the Audiobullies that made "Only Man!" polished and sparkle like the sun. Or maybe you just don't know about the awesome 4 Dj/Producer combo that is the Milanese powerhouse of ReSet! It really doesn't matter, because the fact is they make great music and because that's what we're about here at TCHNCRCY it's all we really need to know. The reason I draw your attention to the fantastic stylings of some of Italy's finest is that they just dropped a remix of Graffiti 6's "Annie You Save Me" that is too hot to hold and I've been looking for any excuse to bring these boys up. Give the sample a chance and wait till the vocal chopping comes in because it will bring the house down. Also,  check out the remix of Cassius I was talking about (there's a reason it got so much hype) and get down to the fidgety remix of London legend Hervé's "Blaze It". And because nothing beats one-stop shopping, check out their original "Gasa" which is not only dirty, grimey, and downright fantastic but it's got some crazy carnival synth stuff I can really get behind. We've got love for ReSet!

Graffiti 6 - Annie You Save Me (Reset! Remix) (320 kbps)***
Cassius - Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes (Reset! Trouble Remix) (320 kbps)
Hervé - Blaze It (Reset! Remix) (192 kbps)
Reset! - Gasa (320 kbps)

This is for clarification, but mostly because they drop some crazy beats, but R3SET is not ReSet! I was very lost for a little while, blogs keep mixing the two up so I finally buckled down and checked it out. Maybe you already knew, but R3SET is a filthy French duo (Lionel de Fontenoy and Gilles Chateaubriant) from Strasbourg that produce and DJ some hard fucking electro. While I'm tempted to say I favor the Italians, if you've listened to R3SET's remix of DATA's "Rapture" you know how hard it is to choose. That track is by far one of the best tracks out there period.  Makes me long for Death From Above...come on Sebastien Grainger, stop fucking around! So which of the two is better? Who the fuck cares! The beauty is that they are both making banging music that you can enjoy. If you do one thing today, grab their DATA remix. And if you do three, pick up R3SET's remix of "D.A.N.C.E." (one of the only remixes of that song I ever listen to) and grab the Redial remix as well.

DATA - Rapture (R3SET Remix)*****
Justice - D.A.N.C.E. (R3SET Remix) (320 kbps)
Redial - Let Me Go (R3SET Remix) (128 kbps)

F♥♥KIN' LYON

I swear to god that they are putting something in the water in the regions of Northern Italy and Southern France. The music scenes centered around the cites of Lyon and Milan are absolutely phenomenal and include many of my favorite artists who are yet to garner the mainstream exposure, or at least blogosphere love that they deserve. Tonight we put the spotlight on 2 producers from Lyon that are currently blowing minds and not getting enough credit. Enjoy.

F♥♥KIN TELMINI
F♥♥KIN TELMINI is Thomas Ouf, an interior design student with a penchant for combining bangin' beats and silky smooth rhythms. The producer hailing from Lyon has just dropped some newish material that absolutely floored me. If you don't know the name TELMINI, now you do and don't forget it. Also check out fabulous Frenchies Digital Cosmic Disco who do a remix of a TELMINI track that starts a little slow but wait for it... BANG!

F♥♥KIN TELMINI - Les Petit Crew National Anthem (Digital Cosmic Disco Remix) **** Don't give up, I know the intro is strange. Trust me, it fucking bangs.
F♥♥KIN TELMINI X Discobeatnikk - GunpeiNES (RMX) **THE HARD AND THE SOFT (Discobeatnikk is better known as Fever 105, in case you couldn't find him)
Darkacide - Teddy Bear (F♥♥KIN TELMINI Remix) **

Sawgood
Sawgood epitomizes the type of music we love here at Technocracy. The first time I heard of him was from his colab with Gigi Barocco on the track Blowin' Up and have kept an eye on him ever since. He consistently delivers by producing the best beats, remixing fantastic songs to further greatness and when he does the illest artist and producers in the biz are quick to rush to work with him or remix his work. Check out everything below because it is all maximum greatness but especially check his new Remix of the Toxic Avenger and Orelsan track they recently released as well as a teaser for his remix of the soon to be released track Grand Slam by the bangin' Deutschlanders Disco Trash Music. Grab the teaser for the whole Grand Slam EP dropping on June 28th. Pleeeeaazzzz come to L.A. Sawgood, we love you so.

Sawgood - What That Fake***** My favorite original Sawgood track
Aerotronic - Sex & Cigarettes (Sawgood & DJ Antention Remix) *** From the Sex & Cigs EP out now on Mähthrasher (a sub-label of our friends Traktor Records).

Mustard Pimp
Okay, so maybe Mustard Pimp isn't from Lyon, in fact they hail from L.A. by way of the suburb of Paris named Melun. So they are French, huge surprise right. Whatever, there are way to many amazing french producers to say this is a best of France post so all I'm gonna say is that I've loved Mustard Pimp forever, since I heard Gold and seeing them last week at Arena was simply amazing. Let me start off by saying I probably listen to Rock, Paper, Scissors three times a day since it dropped and it is a must have. When I heard Rock at Arena I almost fell out of the upstairs bar area I was fist pumping so hard, also I was very drunk, yeah! It's a cool idea calling the EP Rock, Paper, Scissors because Rock is definitely the hardest and Scissors is all choppy and cut up; can't tell you why Paper is Paper, but I like it anyway. Enjoy the new album posted in 128 so that you go and buy the motherfucker in real sexy quality. Also grab some of my favorite remixes by the Pimps of Mustard, all of which they played at Arena. Jealous, you should be bitch.

Mustard Pimp & Hot Pink Delorian - Rock ***** Illness, thanks for rocking L.A. boys.
Kylesa - Scapegoat (Mustard Pimp Remix) ***** One thousand stars! Amazing song so worth pulling an all nighter parting to hear.
Shinichi Osawa - EEAA (Mustard Pimp Remix) **** Oldy but a Goody also make sure you have MP's Remix of The Willowz track I Know. It definitely has 5 stars in my book and you should grab it here.

B.O.N.U.S. - New shit that is just too good not to post immediately.

LCD Soundsystem - You Wanted A Hit (Soulwax Remix) *****Soulwax, the undisputed Kings of Remix
Gyptian - Hold Yuh (Major Lazer Remix) *** Parts sound to me like the drums and the lead are slightly mistimed but still a very solid summer party jam.

aUtOdiDakT feat. Super Super

Unser Freund Andres Klein (A.K.A aUtOdiDakT), DJ and Manager of Traktor Records, sent us a sample of his latest work featuring Germany's Super Super "Here We Go." The track is sick, we love it, but the special thing about this release is the relative variety across genres found with each different remix. "From Electro-House (Original), Dubstep (Lazy Ants) to NuTechno (Distrakt), Acid-Rave (Gooseflesh) to Cut-Up House (LaClopeAuBec) and pumping Bassline-Rave (Noize Generation) you'll find a variety of styles."

Boys Noize in The Creators Project, Sprechen Sie Deutsch?

This a very interesting/entertaining interview/mini documentary about Germany's Boys Noize; I enjoyed it so maybe you will too. The Creators Project is a shared effort between Intel and Vice Magazine. As stated on their website: "The Creators Project has two mandates: on one hand it’s a modern day media channel that we will continually identify and celebrate the work of visionary artists wherever they are. On the other hand it is also a content creation studio, an arts foundation of sorts that will facilitate the production and dissemination of new work with these artists and their collaborators."

Check it out, you can find similar clips of Major Lazer, CSS, NASA, Brodinski and many others.

Rippin' Disco in the Deep End

Something about the sun makes me want to disco. So I'm here with some more dance tracks to get you guys through the rest of the week. First up I have the English house music magician Go Go Bizkitt! I gotta say, I didn't think that his remix of "We no speak Americano" would be good given how great the original was but I was dead wrong. Check out how great the drop is when its got some dance in its step. The Dynasty remix is beautiful. Love the sample. And just because I like you, here's the solid original track "I Wonder Why!" to keep the groove going.

Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP - We no speak Americano (Go Go Bizkitt! remix) (320 kbps)
Dynasty - I Don't Wanna Be a Freak! (Go Go Bizkitt! Re-Rub) (192 kbps)
Go Go Bizkitt! - I Wonder Why! (320 kbps)

Next up I've got a phenomenal remix of English artist Fake Blood's "I Think I Like It" by Tommie Sunshine and Figure. Yet another song I had serious doubts on but this track is one of the best remixes I've heard all year! Its got a great dance beat and I loved hearing the original sample get played out. Definitely a must have.

Fake Blood - I Think I Like It (Tommie Sunshine & Figure EC$TACY edit) (320 kbps)♥♥♥

Finally, to let you cool down, I've got some tracks that will go down smooth and slow. Rachael Starr (not to be confused with Riva Starr) has come out of Orange County, California with a sweet and sultry track called "Till There Was You". Not incredibly recent, but there are so few good female producers out there I gotta give respect. So listen to the track and appreciate that audible chocolate. To go along with it why don't you check out Squarepusher's "Welcome to Europe", a nice techno track that rolls so nicely I had to put it up. I swear I've heard this song several times but I just can't place it. It's driving me crazy so if you have any clue where I might have heard it, comment and let me know! Anyway, enjoy the songs and get moving.

Rachael Starr - Till There Was You (192 kbps)
Squarepusher - Welcome to Europe (320 kbps)

Bonus Banger:

Who's the boss, boy?! Redial comes at you with a huge track.

Jackdied = Gooseflesh

So for those of you that are unaware, the Turkish duo from Istanbul Gooseflesh has created a new side project called Jackdied on the label Satans Circus Records. That's the basics. The more in-depth review is that one of the hardest dj duo's on the map have switched it up and started making some more disco infused dirty dancing music. We love it. There are some sweet, sweet dirty sythn riffs of nice funky basslines and some groovy break-beats. This is not your father's disco, this is something new. Don't believe me? Then check out "Rhythm is a Danger", "Night", and "Feel". These are some crazy ill tracks that I would play out in a second, so grip 'em and rip 'em because it's about to get funky.

Jackdied - Rhythm Is A Danger (128 kbps)
Jackdied - Night (128 kbps)
Jackdied - Feel (320 kbps)♥♥♥

Bonus:
While we're at it, check out Gooseflesh's remix of Scanner's "We Never Close Our Eyes". Not the same feel as the Designer Drugs remix, it's much lighter and has a heavy use of the vocal samples. Pick it up and get down.

Scanners - We Never Close Our Eyes (Gooseflesh Remix) (320 kbps)

Breaching The Gap Between 8-Bit and Electro

The title says it all, we finally see those kids toying around with their Gameboys and making chiptune tracks slowly incorporating their 8-bit sound into electro tracks (or is it electro sounds into their 8-bit tracks?) and throwing DJ sets (evidence). Anyways the line has been stepped over, crossed, blurred, ignored and even removed and it sounds great. Hey you! yes you the guy thinking: 'nah, I know 8bit I won't waste my time', THIS WILL CHANGE YOUR MIND. (If you are an avid 8bit fan, then this is not news to you).

Shirobon, from North London and under 20 years of age, is one of three UK residents putting out tracks that are not necessarily in the hearts of 8-bit purists, but simply take skeptics by surprise. Can you really hate this track? Are You Human is the fifth track of his most recent EP Golden Apples (2010).

Shirobon-Are You Human (Bonus Track) (320kbps)**

Henry Homesweet, also from the UK, well better if you hear for yourself, he is also getting there and I am putting up only a few tracks so you don't feel like it is way too much music to go through to care. The video is great, but particularly interesting between min 1 and 2.

Also check this track: Henry Homesweet-Until I Sleep (224kbps)*-------Huoratron anybody? nice use of vocals.

And yes, the third guy I was talking about is Sabrepulse from Scotland. How big this guy is is a puzzle to me. He seems to be big enough to have hundreds of thousands of hits on myspace and to tour asia, but small enough to play a set in the outskirts of Olympia, WA (thank you to Dr.Dads for having us in his basement, where we saw Sabrepulse with maybe 10 other people). All his music is up on myspace for download so if you get curious go for it.

Sabrepulse-Phalanx (320kbps)-----skip to min 1:40 if you don't think you can stand too much 8-bit.
Sabrepulse-Black Dragon (128kbps)
Sabrepulse-Outbrk (320kbps)

blipblipblipblip:

Don't say you don't like 8-bit if you like this song by Swedish duo and 2/3 of Swedish House Mafia, Buy Now:

Buy Now-Body Crash (JFK Edit) (320kbps)**

So Good! Whose Remix is This?

I guess the only thing these tracks have in common is that you have to listen to them if you haven't already. It has been a while since we mentioned Designer Drugs and their remix of We Never Close Our Eyes by Scanners is so good that it is necessary to post it. The vocals make for a very nice build up before the track drops on you. Next, Mustard Pimp's remix of I Know by The Willowz is also great, but you should decide for yourself (watch out for their Rock Paper Scissors Ep, we will keep you posted). And to wrap it up you should give Aeroplane's (a duo originally from Belgium with Eskimo Records) remix of Baby I'm Yours (we know is a Breakbot track right?) some attention; and keep in mind how big of a challenge it is to remix an already great track without making you feel like you wish you were listening to the original.

Scanners-We Never Close Our Eyes (Designer Drugs Remix) (192kbps)

The Willowz-I Know (Mustard Pimp Remix) (320kbps)----just give it a sec it will get there.
Breakbot-Baby I'm Yours (Aeroplane Remix) (192kbps)----thanks to technocolorkids for putting it up.

Bonus:

The KRFTKDS put this up a few days ago; I am always ready for more tracks like this one:

Tragic Magic Rabbit

We've all known about Swedish Miike Snow's track "The Rabbit" for a while now, but a new video for the Stuart Price remix has been released and it's just hilarious. You can thank Swedish director Andreas Nilsson for the style. Not only does it have Eric Wareheim like video coloring but also the 2 Live Crew (from Me So Horny fame), crossbows, and women dancing with a small child rockin' a full beard. What's not to love? Here's the video, along with the Stuart Price remix and the original song. And because I'll never leave you empty handed, I'm including my favorite "Animal" remix by Punks Jump Up and a super ravey remix of Silvia by Robotberget (Might be a little too much trance for some, but I can dig it).

Miike Snow - The Rabbit (Stuart Price Remix) (128 kbps)
Miike Snow - The Rabbit (320 kbps)
Miike Snow - Animal (Punks Jump Up Remix) (192 kbps)

What We've Been Waiting For:

Porn, Porn, Porn, Everybody Loves Porn

Don't ask me how I came across these two acts, but just be happy that I did. Honestly, I was taken by surprise by Google and had to share it with you, our sophisticated reader.

Pornopink

I have to admit that intrigued by the name I venture into Pornopink's myspace page. After being blinded by the flash of pink that my screen turned into, I became skeptical of how good the music of this French producer could be. However, the tracks I heard were so good, so rough at moments yet still maintaining a house feel, that I had to have more. Pornopink is currently a member of So French Records. Can't say you hate it until you try it, so listen to Freedom and check the other tracks if you like what you hear.

Pornopink-Freedom (128kbps)
*
Pornopink-Go Fast (320kbps)-----think of a harder Kavinsky.
Pornopink-Elle baise comme une chienne (320kbps)-----remember Blatta & Inesha's Where is it? (our new translator says it means 'she fucks like a bitch' )

The Pornorockerz

I know what you are thinking. You are wondering where to get this laminated and poster sized; I wonder the same. Anyways, The Pornorockerz from Italy definitely have that sound and vibe that appears to be inundating the European peninsula (almost like refreshed fidget). And it is not a surprise that their logo can be found in Shake Your Ass Records website; Pornorockerz fit in perfectly into the massive line-up of this up and coming record label. I suggest listening to Faster Pussycat first before working your way through the rest of the tracks. (Another SYAR post coming soon!).

new tracks by The Pornorockerz

Bonus:
Probably one of the first to incorporate porn samples into his music:

This is an extract from Monsieur Sexe by Mr. Flash, a very interesting set.

Because Two is Better Than One

So, why focus on one artist when you you can get exposed to at least two artist at a time right? If you can multitask then you can appreciate this post and the tracks posted. First we have the latest Barretso remix of Heartbeat by the Vanish. Sick remix with a summer vibe (and my favorite Barretso Remix so far) posted on Soundcloud hours ago:

The Vanish - Heartbeat (Barretso Remix) by barretso

You liked it? If so, you should give Nadisko from Australia a listen. Coming from Sydney and also being a part of Tuffem Up Records (check previous post here), this duo knows their shit and can easily push their way into anyone's playlist. They deliver dirty sound and sick electro beats, check them out; they are essential to Tuffem Up's lineup.

Nadisko-Bring It Home (Original Mix)*
Nadisko-Disco Check**
Nadisko-Believe Now

The question is when will Barretso remix tracks by these guys? It would be nice to see Barretso show the harder side of his sound, and Nadisko's Disco Check might be a good track through which he can do so. After all isn't that what label buddies are for?
